Cat5 Ethernet Lan Network Cable

This was inserted right after my comcast cable modem to split my home network into two separate lans without incurring a performance hit. Which my tests say it does. Happy Holidays in about 30 minutes! One lan is for testing, the other lan is for the home office. Being able to do stupid/fun things on one side and not impact my responsible work on the other lan was the goal. This unit fits. Surprisingly, the GUI is usable on my phone, my table, and PC. Lots of options, a lot of configuration control. Plus has console access (CLI, if ever needed). Online active support forum for questions. Uses a wide variety of affordable SFP interfaces (optical and copper) Hasnt hiccuped. Fun stuff IMO. Looking forward to learning more about/using the built-in sophisticated firewall capability. Based on my experience with this initial purchase, feel confident/inclined to purchasing managed switch(es) for some VLAN experimentation. Appreciate that B&H packaged it well. 5 |

I purchased the two-pack Actiontec Bonded MoCA Network Adapters after reading about them online. They are extremely simple to install. All you do is connect one to your tv cable and plug in you ethernet source and you're ready to go. You must have at least two adapters to complete the network. I installed the second one in our living room. This time I just connected the tv cable to the adapter and it was the ethernet source for my streaming devices. I was so satisfied with these adapters, I purchased the wi-fi extender with which I am equally pleased. I've gotten over 100 Mps with this wi-fi extender - unbelievable!! If you need a hard wire ethernet in your house, this is the simplest way to get one - using your existing cable tv lines. I decided to cut the cord on cable tv because my bill went up nearly $20 per month with no change in service. With this device, I am able to run OTA TV and streaming devices over my home tv cables and it's like magic. I definitely recommend this produce to anyone interested in a MoCA network. 5 |

This is the way to go if you want to expand the bandwidth of your home network without running ethernet cable, and IMO is far superior to powerline adapters. They are truly plug and play, and require no setup at all once correctly connected to your router. My home was built with coax running to each room. I bought the 2 pack of these adapters to get more bandwidth for media streaming to my TV, and I am getting close to the advertised gigabit speeds. Just make sure you also buy a MOCA POE filter or else your data will travel out of your house into the cable network ... they are cheap so buy one and save yourself the headache. Also, these are not compatible with satellite TV .. only cable. 5 |

Nice equipment working great for internet service through both wifi and ethernet cable. Its slim design takes small space but covers the whole house both upstairs and downstairs (over 2000 sqf). The app allows to set up the network including a separate guest network and password easily. 5 |

Simple to set up with a wireless network and plugging an ethernet cable into the printer. Produces nice photos and copies. We use it for everyday use, not high detail work. Do buy extra ink because the starters don't last long, 5 |

I'm using this with my Macbook Air that only has USB-C ports and no ethernet port. This adapter worked right out of the box to give me an ethernet connection. Just plugged the ethernet cable in to the adapter, connected the adapter to the CPU's USB-C port, and my computer connected to my work network flawlessly. The wifi at my work is not great, so this adapter is giving me a fast network connection now through ethernet. I did a speed test and I'm getting approximately 500mbps upload/download speeds with this adapter, which is fantastic. I also appreciate that the adapter has LED indicators. One light shows there is a connection (green). The middle light shows there is power (White/blue). And the 3rd light blinks orange to show there is activity. Having these lights could come in handy if I need to trouble shoot, which is very helpful. The build quality is also really good. This feels like it will last a long time. The cable seems sturdy and the ethernet cable plugs in securely into the adapter's port. Overall, I'm happy with this adapter and it is working very well. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |

Not much to say about an ethernet cable, except that it works. 5 |

This is the simple but versatile device that I recommend as a router for all my friends and family, and will also use as an access point for them or small businesses where integrated solutions are too complex for a handful of users. Qualcomm Atheros chipset, with 350 Mbps WAN To LAN capability routing. Firmware has stabilized and now I am able to fully recommend (January 2021), albeit feature set is still lacking compared to AirRouter predecessor, but offers core abilities for baseline users. For the airCube, plug the ethernet from the modem into the WAN (eth0), then you may connect your computer via wireless or ethernet to the LAN ports (PoE In, 2, or 3), typing in https://192.168.1.1 in your web browser, with ubnt as username, and password printed on the label beneath. Most people are now aware and desiring to minimize wireless radiation, so I recommend them to turn off the 5 Ghz wireless, and configure the 2.4 Ghz for 20 MHz Channel Width, select channel 1, 6, or 11, while starting with 5 dBm output power (transmit power is logarithmic, so 5 dBm is 3mW, wile 20 dBm is 100 mW), and choose the SSID Name and Password. Look for a signal strength of -80 dBm or better (-55 to -60 dBm ideal) is recommended for stable links, and increase the output power until that range is achieved for desired places. Obviously, line of sight and height is appreciated for more effective communication. Increasing the Tx power on any wireless device will create a noise for other wireless devices. The rest you could choose to remain as default or configure more. 5 |

I use this with a 20gbps ethernet SFP+ backbone uplink from the UniFi SFP+ Aggregation Switch. My LAN has never been faster! 5 |

Plug and play home network expansion device - simply run a Cat5 or Cat6 cable from the home router to the switch and plug in up to seven more devices to the home computer network. Much faster and more reliable than Wi Fi - set up is a complete no-brainer. 5 |
