Cat6 Ethernet Cable For 100 Feet

I like the white cat6 cable.

1000 feet is more ethernet cable than I am going to be able to go through in a decade. I guess I could go ahead and wire up my entire house. At the price, it is the way to go for any extended runs because you just can't beat the price per foot with ready-to-go cables. And adding your own connections is not that hard with the right tools.

This is the cheapest SFP+ switch (but reliable) I could find for my homelab. Many others are more expensive. After reading reviews on the Mikrotik SFP+ options I decided to stay with Unifi since I already had many Ubiquiti Ethernet switches and a controller in place. I am also connecting this to a Unifi 24-port via 1-Gb SFP as a link and connecting to my core switch via 10GbE over CAT6. Core switch is an FS.COM unit with a 10GbE Ethernet transceiver. No issues negotiating to 10GbE. The CAT6 cable run is probably under 50 feet. I am also using old Finisar transceivers without issue, but have not tried DAC cables yet. However, if you do not have a Unifi Controller in place perhaps wait for the new QNAP managed combo switches coming out. It will be a lot simpler. Or you can get the more expensive EdgeSwitch ES-16-XG.

Not much to say about an ethernet cable, except that it works.

If you need a 100 foot Ethernet cable for whatever reason, this is the place to get it. When I went it was not out on display though so ask a sales person. It is working perfectly fine, no problems.

I bought this reel to wrangle 300+ feet of Cat6. It handles that much cord and more. I like the outer spool that holds a small amount so I don't have to undo the whole thing every time; I pull out as much as I need based on the run I need. The side clips are clever to hold the cord in check, but they fall off easily. So, they could be a bit better. That's the only complaint. Otherwise, it's serving my needs exactly as expected.

Great unit. Probably thirty hours on unit. Ran 100 feet of cable outside, into a coupler, and then another 100 feet of cable inside to end point BMD 6G-SDI to HDMI 4K unit. It was raining that day and in the 40s outside. I could not see any degradation in the audio or video. Never lost signal even for a second. I was sending hdmi video and analog audio over 3G-SDI cable. Number 1 & 8 are up. Numbers 2-7 are down. This was my first experience with SDI & BMD equipment. Note; For this unit, ON is down, Off is up.

I'm using several of these now, and they all work great! cat5/6 cable runs from 30-100 feet. I especially like the fact that the receiver is powered through the cable and doesn't need power of its own. I also like the HDMI thru on the transmitter, which lets me have one less splitter for some of my applications. Definitely worth the price.
