Cat6A Ethernet Cable Home Depot

I am currently using this for gigabit Ethernet. The cable works well, though the connector release is a bit on the stiff side. Note: 1Gb Ethernet doesn’t need Cat6a cables (Cat6 is perfectly appropriate; Cat5e is adequate but marginal), I just got Cat6a for future-proofing. 5 |

This is the way to go if you want to expand the bandwidth of your home network without running ethernet cable, and IMO is far superior to powerline adapters. They are truly plug and play, and require no setup at all once correctly connected to your router. My home was built with coax running to each room. I bought the 2 pack of these adapters to get more bandwidth for media streaming to my TV, and I am getting close to the advertised gigabit speeds. Just make sure you also buy a MOCA POE filter or else your data will travel out of your house into the cable network ... they are cheap so buy one and save yourself the headache. Also, these are not compatible with satellite TV .. only cable. 5 |

my home office was at far end of the house from the cable router - no issues now. Love the extra ethernet ports on the satellite. 5 |

I have this wifi access point mounted on a high wall in the central part of the house; it easily provides coverage to all rooms (4000' feet home). You need to have access to an ethernet cable and you must be able to provide power over ethernet or be able to use the included power injector somewhere along the cable run. It works very well and is fairly easy to set up, but it's not a home handyman type of thing. 5 |

I've had many Roku streamers in my home for years now to eliminate the cable companies fees. The new ultra seems faster and offers a ethernet connection for strong internet speeds and no buffering. I may consider a Roku soundbar streaming if they offer a ethernet port. For now the ultra is great. I don't like the fights between Roku and streaming services. I am a customer who hate to see options dropped without warning. 5 |
