It has 2 10Gbe port so I can connect my Mac mini and my NAS directly and increase my speeds from 110Mb/s to 450Mb/s Write and 950Mb/s Read. This is a very good transceiver for the price. It allows you to adapt SFP+ to 1, 2.5, 5.0 and 10Gb Ethernet. Used this as the downlink from Netgate 4200 2.5Gb to UniFi USW-Aggregation switch. It does use more power than typical fiber or optical transceiver, but well worth it for this use case. 5 |
