Cd Reader For Laptop

I purchased this SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader after my laptop SD card reader failed. Ordered it from B&H overnight delivery and it arrived at 10am next day - so kudos to B&H for that. Here's my first thoughts on this SanDisk card reader: -It's fast! First time using it was able download 202 21MP photos from Import to ready to edit in the Develop module in Lightroom in 40 seconds - about 1/4 of the time required compared to my laptop's now defunct card reader. Your milage will vary. -It's USB-C 3.2 version 2 as advertised. (My Windows 11 ProArt Studio laptop does have a USB-C 4 Thunderbolt input. However Thunderbolt card readers cost $200-$300 or more, which was more than I was willing to pay, so this SanDisk reader was a happy compromise. Nevertheless, plugged it into the Thunderbolt port to attain the download speed I mentioned above). -Build quality. The case is made of rugged ribbed aluminum that I think will stand up exceptionally well in a busy office environment. It also looks 'professional' as it not constructed of cheap looking plastic. On the bottom of the case there are four small rubber feet that should stop it from sliding around on a desk like plastic card readers are wont to do. Finally, and this is a big plus for this Sandisk card reader compared to another plasticky 'Top Seller' sold for the same price, the several times I have use it so far it never became too hot to touch or to remove the SD card from it. It's one cool dude, in fact. - Size wise, it's roughly the size of a business card though maybe an inch longer. And if you require more than one I believe SanDisk offers a raid style enclosure to accommodate up to four. My conclusion: This SanDisk Professional PRO-READER Multi Card Reader is very fast, well built, looks professional and stays cool to the touch. So, would I recommend it to a friend. Absolutely!

I had and older Buffalo CD, DVD, and BD-R Reader/Writer that was rated at 1/4 the speed of the OWC Mercury Pro External USB 3.0. Additionally the OWC Mercury cost over a $100 less. I also am impressed with the aluminum housing that encases this device.

I was surprised to find that the computer I wanted and would fit my needs did not have a built in CD-DVD reader/burner. The Asus External Blue-ray drive completely fills my needs.

I am digitizing my very large music collection to FLAC and needed a CD reader that was the fastest I could find. This is a 48X reader for audio CDs. Two (2) minutes per CD to record. So something like 40 hours of recording. It is expensive but halving the time needed from any other CD reader was well worth it. B&H are great to work with and I have bought lots from them. Always satisfied.

Great case for me i love it and the LEDs I got the case with the two 5-in base for Midi card reader for photography and a CD / DVD player burner for my music production it was the best available out of all the cases I could look in many places thank you for the quick shipping I'm very satisfied

I have a small laptop (that I use for travel) .... that does NOT have a card reader ... so I use this card reader ... and it works super! I have also found that it is very handy for my desktop and larger laptop computers that do have card readers ... it just seems easier to download images from the external card reader.

Easily reads cards from my laptop, no drivers or anything required. Nice to have three options in the same reader.

using this cable to get phots from the camera to the laptop works faster than fumbling with the card reader.

Good little card reader for Laptop computers, but currently have not had the chance to try it out to see if it works good and how long it will last.
