Long time photographer and retired pro. Have the X100f and bought this for some key updates like weather sealing, bigger viewfinder (better diopter), better lens and the tilt screen. The lens sharpness improvement is immediately noticeable, especially at shorter focus distances. The viewfinder and tilt screen make a nice difference in usability. The weather sealing is key to being out and about without a case, the way this camera is meant to be. The reviewers will tell you about the overheating and scratchy manual focus ring. Yes, the camera gets warm, but I never really press a camera like this for continuous hard shooting or video... it's not what it's meant for in the first place. The focus ring is a little scratchy, but works fine.... and honestly, I hardly ever manual focus anyway, so after playing with it to notice, it will go on forgotten. If you don't need weather sealing, tilt screen and/or don't care about closer focusing distances, the X100f might be fine. Otherwise, this camera is really a beautiful next step in the X100 evolution.

If you are debating weather to purchase this grip or the newer slight more expensive version of the grip for your Leica Q-P do yourself a favor and buy this one. I purchased both and ended up returning V.2 for a couple of reasons: 1) IMO this version has a slight edge over build quality, it feels more solid overall 2) The new version comes with a small hex key to tighten the grip which can be easily misplaced or lost. In comparison this version is a perfect fit without the hassle of having to tighten it with a hex key. Hope this helps make your decision easier. I bought this for my Leica Q-P and couldn't be happier.

A fantastic new tool from Sound Devices, and when you add on The Cedar sound suppression .....WOW! Pretty intuitive if you have used the 633!

I used this paper to print images I shot in the south west (e.g., Cedar Breaks,Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Canyonlands,Antelope Canyon etc). The textured matte provided razor sharp detail of the rocks and sand. the tonal range for highlights (snow covered red mountains) and shadow- (inside canyons) was exceptional. I'm not sure I would use it for portraits (I have not tried it yet), but I think it is an outstanding option for landscapes! The reproduction of color was also spot on. I would not hesitate to recommend this paper for landscapes

I use it at night for astrophotography here in Cedar City, Utah. Changing batteries can cause the point of aim to be different, using this with my big battery supplies continued power for several hours.

Great vest. I'm using it in an underground coal mine. It's like having an extra pair of hands. It distributes weight evenly. I use it for batteries, flashes, all sorts of accessories. There are no pockets for big lenses, but that's O.K. It would make the vest too heavy and cumbersome. It's pretty good at repelling lime and coal dust and water and is not likely to tear easily. Pockets are lined with soft material, which is easy on lenses. These vests are a little pricey, but worth it. They're professional gear and are made for rugged use.

So far so good! Using as a backup power supply for an underground dog fence and so far is working great.

We mostly use it to protect our lens for our camera at work, being as we drag the camera through steam tunnels, in mud trenches, inside underground vaults, and through all sorts of other environments. The filter screws on firmly to the end of the lens and protects the lens from scratches, dirt, dust, etc. without distorting any of the pictures.
