Cell Phone Based Security Cameras

I love the sense of security having these cameras at my home. I get cell phone pictures telling me everything is okay there when I'm on vacation. I also pick up the occasional picture of an animal that I didn't know was visiting my yard. Found out who was raiding my garden at night!

I am a home based office and am on the phone all day. This works with Cell, Office, and Dragon software. I love it.Don't even know it's on your head.

I picked this up to hold my cell phone based on several web recommendations. I have a Motorola Z3 play in a case and it fits it just fine. I opted for this because of the metal arm versus the plastic. So far it's held up very well over the past month or so I use it outside with my Joby 1k mount and the combination is sturdy stable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anybody who needed a good phone mount the spring is definitely strong enough to hold things in place nothing moves. And it folds up nicely.

This Cell Phone Mount was bought for my Wife. She watches videos on her cell phone often and I thought this was a better idea than leaning her phone against a bottle of ketchup or loaf of bread. Combining this with a tiny foldable tripod gives her a compact stand for her cell phone and she now uses it almost daily. She seems to like it and it folds up to take very little space. The mount had a slight hangup when I first tried it out but seems to work fine now. The threads in the plastic parts are actually brass inserts that are moulded in place so they will probably hold up a lot longer than plain plastic would. The plastic is well moulded and seems to be pretty good quality. In theory, the mount will stand up without a tripod, but it isn't stable.

As we move inexorably away from real cameras to the lurker in our cell phones, this device is a game-changer. Adding a camera-like grip completely transforms the ergonomics, making the flat phone conform to the motor-memory expectations of your hands. It just feels more natural. The remote-triggering capability and on-grip light are well implemented and a welcome bonus. Unfortunately, now I want to upgrade my perfectly functional phone to the newest version with a better embedded camera.
