I had to replace an older ELPH, so I looked at various brands and models, and decided to get another ELPH. The 190 didn't cost much more than the 180, and offered a 10X zoom and other features. One was wifi--why would I want a camera with wifi? It turns out that I could send photos directly to my cell phone, use that cell phone as a wireless shutter release, or send pictures to my laptop without pulling the SD card. And the whole thing can slip effortlessly into my shirt pocket. There was a time when I toted a Nikon F2, several lenses, a handheld light meter, lots of Kodachrome 25, and a tripod, etc, but I've grown old and less ambitious, and like the convenience of travelling light. This little camera takes great pictures, is easy to operate, and is made by one of the premier camera manufacturers in the world. I'm very pleased with it.

I purchased the Bluetooth adapter to transfer pictures and music from my computer (which did not have one) to my cell phone. The device was simple to install and is easy to use. I was new to the technology so I had some difficulty using it at first, but B & H chat line support came to the rescue and everything is now working great.

I'm new to the use of what I consider a serious camera and I wanted something more than a cell phone to take pictures of our grandkids. My first thought was to go with a Canon or Nikon DLSR, but I was encouraged to look at the a6000 by a friend who is a serious photographer. Mirrorless is the future was his comment. He encouraged me to research the a6000 which I did and I've been more than pleased. The a6000 is smaller and more compact that the DSLR's I was considering. I've taken it on two trips and it's never in the way. I've found the kit lenses fine, but again I'm a newbie. The amount of help available on-line for the a6000 was also a consideration. While there are blogs, videos and reviews of all cameras, I found several YouTube videos and written guides for the a6000 very helpful. Of course what really makes a camera great is the quality of the pictures. I've been very pleased on this front. Integration with a smartphone isn't bad. I was able to share pictures with family easily once I got the camera connected to the phone. All in all I would strongly recommend the a6000 to anyone considering a first camera.

I love the sense of security having these cameras at my home. I get cell phone pictures telling me everything is okay there when I'm on vacation. I also pick up the occasional picture of an animal that I didn't know was visiting my yard. Found out who was raiding my garden at night!

Printing my cell phone pictures has been great pastime. When I am awake in the middle of the nigh at home. . . Yeah I have worked graveyard shift for 30 years . Fun at night is now a home hobby.

You do not need to match your cell provider . Reason for the two is off you have signal from Verizon in your hunting spot and not At&T but the Verizon one . The camera send to the app on your phone no matter who your provider is . Was very easy to set up , I watch a YouTube video first . The pictures on your phone will not look the best quality, but when you down load the SD card they are very clear and good . It will take and save pictures even if you lose cell service. BH photos had the best price and I had my camera in 3 days ! Buying a second one before season starts . Don’t hesitate to try one . No fees and you can go month by month if you want . Mike

I have one of these cameras and a Cell Link. They both work great! When I first tried to update the firmware, i had some difficulty. However, I learned that you have to just put the files that were in the folder onto the SD card, instead of the folder itself. Once I had it updated, it started sending pictures to my cell phone. Now, the pictures aren’t high-res because the camera is using cell phone signal to send the pictures. However, you can see what is coming in to your food plots. You can purchase 50 high-res photos for an additional cost if you want some high-res photos. I haven’t had to do so, though, because the photos it sends are perfectly adequate. I’ve had the camera out for about two months. I initially had it set to send pictures every two hours and had it set to trigger every minute. it was sending, on average, about 47 pictures per day. After about a month, I got a notification that the camera battery was low (at about 15%), and this one at night. On the next communication, the camera’s battery was back up to 100%. I set my camera to send pictures twice a day, instead of 6 times per day. Since then, I’ve received some notifications that the battery is low, but I’d go into the camera status and it showed it was at 100%. I don’t know if this is a glitch or what. The camera has been working great, though. For the price, this camera is worth not having to go out and check the SD cards. My camera is 7 hours away and it has great cell signal. For those who are wondering about the cellular service: You can use the camera with AT&T/Nationwide OR Verizon and it does not matter what service you use for your cell phone service. You pay for the photo plans directly through SpyPoint, which I assume has some kind of contract through those two cell phone companies. Just try to get the one with cell service which works best in your area.

I'm an appraiser, so I often need to take pictures and take notes and grab the occasional cell phone call -- simultaneously-- while standing in a parking lot. The sling is lightweight, and has plenty of play for sliding camera up, and then down and out of the way. The little connector is small and works great. I ordered the wrist strap version, and now can swap back and forth between the sling and the wrist strap in about two seconds. Great idea, very handy.

This Cell Phone Mount was bought for my Wife. She watches videos on her cell phone often and I thought this was a better idea than leaning her phone against a bottle of ketchup or loaf of bread. Combining this with a tiny foldable tripod gives her a compact stand for her cell phone and she now uses it almost daily. She seems to like it and it folds up to take very little space. The mount had a slight hangup when I first tried it out but seems to work fine now. The threads in the plastic parts are actually brass inserts that are moulded in place so they will probably hold up a lot longer than plain plastic would. The plastic is well moulded and seems to be pretty good quality. In theory, the mount will stand up without a tripod, but it isn't stable.

Wonderful case to carry point and shoot or cell phone on the boat or to the beach.
