Cell To Phone Bluetooth Adapter

I purchased the Bluetooth adapter to transfer pictures and music from my computer (which did not have one) to my cell phone. The device was simple to install and is easy to use. I was new to the technology so I had some difficulty using it at first, but B & H chat line support came to the rescue and everything is now working great.

The FotodioX Cell Phone Tripod Adapter is an excellent design, with a thumbscrew clamping mechanism to hold the phone and another thumbscrew knob to set the rotational position. It is plastic and exhibits a little sag with a heavy phone, but using the camera's shutter delay I found it works perfectly for tripod mounted exposures.

This headset supports connectivity via USB for use as a PC headset and via Bluetooth for use with cell phone calls. The base makes it easy to switch between PC and Bluetooth. The bluetooth connection is between the base and the cell phone, with DECT to the headset. So you leave the phone on your desk and take the headset with you if you want to walk around. DECT has much better range than Bluetooth and is not affected by microwave ovens or WiFi, so calls are clear and consistent at all times.

I was in the market for a cell phone holder for my tripod before this product was released from Robus. As soon as I saw Robus was releasing their own version, I was interested. For years I've been a fan of Robus products as they are very high quality and still affordably priced. This adapter is no exception. I think the standout feature of this cell phone adapter is the two-way adjustable clamping mechanism. The knob allows for fine control of the clamp size, while the wingnut allows for a course adjustment. This allows you to set the course adjustment to a size slightly smaller than your phone, then never touch it again. Once that course adjustment is set, you can use the fine adjustment each and every time you mount your phone to the tripod. This adapter also has a built-in ball head for pointing your phone in different directions as well as an Arca-Swiss foot making it easy to clamp to my existing tripod head. Having looked at the competition, I can safely say this is the best, highest quality, most feature-rich smartphone tripod adapter out there. One small note: Be sure your phone will fit this adapter. If you own a very small phone such as an iPhone 12 Mini and you don't use a case, you might not be able to get a tight grip on your phone. This little Ball Head is perfect. I paired it with a Magnus cell phone holder as seen in one of my photos and it really helps with positioning and basically holding my phone as I FaceTime or participate in my multiple, daily Zoom and Google Meet video conferences. Where this little gem really shines though is in the fact that the smartphone adapter is built in. There is simply no need for a cellphone holder. The spring loaded adapter is easy to extend however it provided a secure grip at every angle. The accessory mount is perfect for a light. I am not traveling much but with my family and I all working from home sometimes I have to scramble for a quiet location before jumping on a video conference. With the Magnus BHSP-04 Ball Head, I can grab it and get it set up in seconds. This is an amazing item and I highly recommend it and it's great for vlogging as well! This Cell Phone Mount was bought for my Wife. She watches videos on her cell phone often and I thought this was a better idea than leaning her phone against a bottle of ketchup or loaf of bread. Combining this with a tiny foldable tripod gives her a compact stand for her cell phone and she now uses it almost daily. She seems to like it and it folds up to take very little space. The mount had a slight hangup when I first tried it out but seems to work fine now. The threads in the plastic parts are actually brass inserts that are moulded in place so they will probably hold up a lot longer than plain plastic would. The plastic is well moulded and seems to be pretty good quality. In theory, the mount will stand up without a tripod, but it isn't stable.
