This works fine on my Spectrum cable account. Just one note you should know when attaching a wireless router to it: from my experimentation and the info I finally found on the Internet, once a router is plugged into one of the rear RJ45 ports, no other devices can be plugged in. So, that means the other three are just there for looks. This would've been nice to know if the device contained worthwhile documentation, which it doesn't. 5 |

Finally, a wireless system that works without the hiccups of switching. Disconnected my Spectrum router and replaced it with these. covers 3000 sqft house - and covers a pretty large area outside. 2 are wired direct and the third is wireless. A little quirky to get the first one set up but any additional are just plug and play. 5 |

TP-Link ER605 V2 Omada Gigabit VPN Router was easy to set up (using it as a standalone router) and basically started working once powered on. The boot cycle is a bit slow (~2-3 mins), but once active there are no issues with all the network devices connected to it. The 4 ports are sufficient for setting up 4 different networks and the streaming devices seem to be more stable (less buffering, more responsive) than before. I upgraded my router from spectrum base model to this lovely nighthawk.. I was noticing lagging and traffic usage was slowing my spectrum router down.. the nighthawk router help my speeds by 200 mps but lowered my ping and can use all my devices without lag spikes! Most get in modem and routers 5 |
