i didn't have any problems installing this on my end. i only had to change settings for my ps5 to output 5.1 sound in the room. ill be tinkering on other parts of it, but so far they can be pretty loud and its great to hear sounds behind me. 5 |

Better than I expected. A couple of reviewers mentioned a constant hiss. I cannot hear any hiss. I'm using a pair of these monitors with my iMac to digitize vinyl. I use a Korg DAC, DSD capable, and a passive volume controller. The Korg has RCA outputs. I heard noises when using an RCA to 1/8 cable from the Korg to the volume controller. Then I changed to an RCA to XLR cable and the noise is gone. I use XLR cables from the volume controller to the monitors. 5 |

For context, I am not a sound engineer and I've been using the Polsen Volume Controller at my home work station. I think this volume controller is fantastic. Here are a few things that stand out me... - the metal construction feels and looks great on my desk - the metal knob is large and smooth - I especially like the rubber feet that keep the device from slipping in sliding - the mute button is an added bonus - no extra adaptor is needed to power the device!
