Attached this to a Channel Master DVR+ where it records, playsback programming and stores other data. Not noticing the lag and playback buffering from previous drive. Easy to install, literally plug and play.

If you want the best master digital recording use the SONY DVCAM Master Digital Cassettes. Don't skimp on quality and always buy from B&H - that is who I use!

I needed a HDMI feed for a 22 camera system and DVR into an upstairs master bedroom where a Cat6 cable was prewired. Product works exactly as needed and looks great. Price was great and fast shipping. No cons at this point.

I had one of these already and it works great with an external antenna. Easy to install. I use my computer as a DVR and since Window media center supports recording 2 shows at once I purchased a second device.

I bought this tuner to use with my laptop. I got rid of cable about 6 months ago and built my own antenna. I was able to get all the local stations that I wanted. The only thing I was missing was a dvr. I bought this tuner, plugged it into my laptop, and windows media center did the rest. Now I can use my laptop as a dvr. It has worked flawlessly so far.

I tried a different brand first that was 1//2 the price but it didnt work for my system.� The other brand caused a breakup of connection(handshake) everytime I switched the channel from the DirectTV DVR, forcing me to turn off the DVR and TV to re-establish connection.� This KanexPro splitter is now working fine...watching two TVs displaying the same channel from the DirectTV DVR.

I run it via A/SPIDF into an RME Fireface UCX which serves Word Clock and routes firewire into my Mac and Adobe Audition. For years I was using $3k digital recorder to transfer video from my DVR to my computer for editing & posting to social media. The Elgato device gets the job done at a fraction of the cost.

Have non-amplified antenna in the attic - and that line is split 3 ways. The 2 smaller TVs weren't dropping 2 channels, but the larger TV with Samsung HDTV tuner, loses 2 channels every minute or so with weak signal. After installing the Winegard - no more weak signal on the one channel. The other channel is very watchable now with less drops. Very satisfied.

I have used other brands of tape,but none can compare to the Sony Digital Master Mini. You can rest assured that no other tape will be placed in the caste compartment for fear of poor quality video. Harold
