Charging Zagg Keyboard For Ipad Air

I purchased my iPad Air with the Apple Magic Keyboard. That keyboard is great for stationary use of the iPad (for sheer typing, it is better than the ZAGG and comes with a trackpad. However, I did not feel at all comfortable placing the iPad in a backpack with the Magic Keyboard; it did not protect the sides and the Apple Pencil was only secured by the charging magnet (it always came off during transport). With the ZAGG, the iPad is much more protected, and it secures the pencil to the case while also charging. The iPad can remain in the case, while either removed from the keyboard or reversed for use as a tablet. The Keyboard has a USB-C charging port, so an additional cord is not necessary (if only Apple would upgrade the iPhone to an USB-C…). It also holds a very long charge. If you travel a lot or frequently move your iPad, I highly recommend this keyboard.

I tired to order the heavy duty keyboard from Zagg but they don’t make one yet for the newer iPad Air or Pro This is designed, built and fits perfectly with the iPad, So hopefully it holds up in the field.

I carry a yoga laptop, two 9.5" iPads, Zagg iPad keyboard, charging cables for all of the above. External charging battery for the idevices, headphones, sunglasses. A thermos, travel coffee mug, 32oz hydro flask for water, I still have room left over. It's one of the best back packs I have owned and I have had it for about three years now and it really looks no worse for the wear. It has plenty of room, so much in fact that some times i have to search through all the pockets to find stuff.

I prefer typing on a keyboard over directly on the iPad, thus the Zagg Pro Keys Keyboard is a great device. The combined weight is noticeable, but the ability to separate the (encased) iPad from the keyboard is a delight. It makes reading or browsing a joy because it is so light. When connected the keyboard is responsive, comfortable, and meets expectations. The case provides excellent protection for the iPad. I have used Zagg products in the past and I am happy to use them again.

The Zagg keyboard case for my iPad is great. Being able to detach the iPad is very easy and helpful.

I got the Zagg Pro Keys (folding/flip out style detachable case with my iPad Air 4th generation and it didn’t cut it. It seemed flimsy for continuously opening and shutting (mobile). It was broken in 4 months of household use. I scrapped it and replaced it with the Zagg Rugged Book and have zero complaints. It stays charged, allows me to take my iPad Air 4 anywhere with confidence, and has well thought out features (volume, playlist forward/reverse) excellent backlighting, etc.). I’d recommend the Rugged Book for anyone who wants a durable keyboard/case. I love it!

The Zagg screen protector was easy to install and I'm hoping it protects my new iPad Air 4th Gen from my dropsies.

Have used Zagg products for years. this was purchased as a Christmas present for a new Ipad Air. It was simple to install, with no bubbles or other issues. Touch works well and unless one looks closely you cannot tell it is on the Ipad.
