Tested with 100GB of video files. First, it reaches around 570~590MB/s. After 15% of copy, it drops to 250~270MB/s. The USB will get hotter after 3mins of copying. Actually, this is way better than any USB flash drive so far. The burst copy is all I need. If you are looking for a consistent super fast speed drive. Get an external SSD, not a USB flash drive.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

I bought this Flash Drive as a traveling backup for my photos. Typically, I take between 100Gb and 200Gb of photos on a trip so this gives me plenty of space. The small size is ideal as is the light weight. I connected it to my MacbookPro USB-C using a Uni 4 port USB-A to USB-C hub with no problems.I ran a quick test when I received the drive and it took 2 minutes to transfer just over 15Gb (212 files) from my MacbookPro to the drive. So it's pretty fast. It took just two days to get here (Arizona) from B&H and was cheaper than buying from Amazon. So I'm a happy camper.

This drive is one of several to which we offloaded about 100GB of photo/video/e-mail files to restore some speed to our 300GB internal hard drive that was getting a bid sluggish. Having this drive active at all times makes access to those files just as fast as having them on our internal drive, and the lighter load on it has resulted in a substantial increase in performance for our internal drive.

Easy to install. Mac OSX 10.11.5 (El Capitan) immediately acknowledged the drive. I am using Roxio's Toast IT Titanium 14. I burned data files to the Verbatim BD-R DL (50gb) with no problem. When I tried burning data files to the Verbatim BD-R XL (100gb), it kept giving me the following error at 34% of writing: The drive reported an error: Sense Key = MEDIUM ERROR Sense Code = 0x0C WRITE ERROR I unsuccessfully burned 2 100gb Blu-Ray discs. Suddenly, the Toast It software popped-up a message stating that if I am experiencing errors, to download the update. So, I updated the software. I successfully burned data files on to the Verbatim BD-R XL (100gb) discs. In addition, I set the burning speed to 4x, instead of Best. Burning large amounts of data is time consuming. Burning 225gb of data took approximately 5 hours. The manufacture claims that this drive supports M-discs. We will see when I get around to purchasing those discs.
