I use these K92s for studio recording an electronic drum kit. The quick response and frequency range makes for a really authentic acoustic drum sound reproduction. The volume levels are huge which means you could take this into a live, environment even without monitoring. The audio clarity, volume and dynamics easily matches, or out performs some headsets that are priced at 5x the price of the K92. The closed back does prevent a large amount of leakage but they can still be heard significantly enough that they could be picked up by sensitive microphones should you be trying to record acoustic instruments. So could get click track / scratch track bleed into the main mix. 5 |

This microphone is amazing truly amazing and can be used for pretty much anything vocals , acoustic guitar , electric guitar , drum overheads etc. It is a total workhorse! and the quality is truly phenomenal especially given the price! The bass roll off and attenuation pad allow for custom and diverse sound applications its so nice to have choice and diversity in just one microphone, and of course again the quality that comes out of this thing even compared with professional studio work this things competes head to toe couldn't tell any difference, 100% worth it ! get this mic! 5 |

I purchased two of these to use for both acoustic guitar recording and also for drum overheads. They are beautifully constructed as I have come to expect from Sennheiser products. A very useful feature are the small adjustment controls which allow you to add a pad to reduce very loud sources and select from three bass roll-off profiles allowing you to tailor the microphone to match its intended use. I have so far only used them for acoustic guitar recording and was very happy with the super clear and entirely natural sound reproduction. They are nice and compact as well. One small gripe is the average quality pouch that comes with them, but most people will probably use a road case anyway. Thanks again B&H ... 5 |

I'm using it primarily for a drum overhead, but also for acoustic guitar. It has a really nice, sweet sound, and it seems well built (we'll see). I'm still experimenting, but already, I have been able to get really nice sounds. It has none of the harshness of condensers in the same price range. It does need a lot of gain, as people say, and the pickup pattern is going to take some figuring out. I'm also worried about the fragility inherent in the design, but I think it will be fine (not using it live). The included case and mount are nice too. I like it a lot. 5 |

I'm using these as a stereo drum overhead solution. They will definitely come in handy for vocals, guitar amps, and acoustic jams. Very warm sound, wide frequency range. Love 'em! 5 |

Anybody professional audio engineer who has EVER tried to mic the inside of a kick drum will tell you how frustrating it can be with cheap mic stands. Most either don't have the weight, or don't have the reach, or both. This has both and is a pure joy to work with. The thing most reviews don't tell you is that all 3 legs are solid cold rolled steel. This makes for a mic stand that won't easily tip over, even when bumped or kicked because it has the weight to stay put. The other Godsend is the design of the boom arm. It allows you to thread the Mic on and then extend it to the perfect spot inside the kick drum and then make micro adjustments with second boom screw. Much more precise than having to reach inside and try to re-adjust with a less than perfect set screw ( I'm talking to you Beta 52 ), especially if your kick only has a small sound port in the resonant head and you cant, or don't want to take the head off completely. This is a well thought out product and more than worth the few extra bucks over the cheap ones. It's a quality stand top to bottom. Very highly recommended. 5 |

I just received two sets of these and the build quality and price can't be beat. Quite frankly, I'm surprised they are this cheap. They are finish sanded smooth and solid as a rock. Excellent quality wood used to make these - not some cheap ply - but rather the quality plywood you would use for high-end cabinetry. These are truly built to last. 5 |
