Super cheap way to protect your lens. Digital camera sensors are not as easily, if at all, bothered by UV light. The filter fit perfectly on my Nikkor lens.

While it's arguable whether or not you need a UV filter on a digital camera this is cheap protection for your lens. For less than $ you add a layer of protection to your lens from scratches, dirt, etc. Well worth it in my book.

I use it as a back up for my digital camera.

Always looking for a microfiber cloth? I bought multiples and clipped one onto each camera bag so there is always one nearby but never in the way.

I take pictures of birds and other wildlife at a nearby wetlands nature preserve. By mounting my camera on a tripod and using a remote switch,I am able to get pictures that are much sharper than when I hand held the camera or even when I used the tripod alone.

While snorkling in Bora Bora, taking pictures with nearby docile reef sharks, the camera got loose; I thought the camera was safe, since the strap kept the camera from sinking to the bottom. However, one of the reef sharks seemed to mistake the floation strap for a fish, and bit it and took it away. Never did recover the camera. Would recommend using this in addition to the small strap that comes with the camera, rather than using just the floatation strap alone.

While working I carry a full kit and when off duty I have a camera with his one lens nearby during daylight which allows me to shoot near or wide.

I love this camera it is the best of the best for a digital camera.
