Cheap Lightning Cable Broke Iphone 5

The first mount I bought for an iPhone was a cheap piece of plastic which broke the very first time I used it, so I was looking for something sturdier for my iPad. Well, this is definitely it! It is a solid, well-designed piece of hardware. It holds the iPad solidly and mounts well to my tripod clamp. This was a great purchase. I wish SHAPE made an iPhone version with an Acra foot.

I use this to connect anything with a standard headphone cable to my iPhone Lightning port (older selfie stick, older Square reader, earbuds and headphones).

The killer app for this device (for me) was that connecting the receiver to an iPhone with the usb-c to lightning cable maintains discrete stereo separation for recording to several video applications. Tested working on ProMovie and MoviePro. The magnets are very capable of holding the transmitters onto a shirt during vigorous activity.   )) significant note: Noise cancellation only works when conveying the signal through the receiver to a camera or smart phone.

This is an adapter, NOT a cable. That said, as an adapter it does it's job well. I have used it to plug my iPhone (Lightning) into my PC (both USB-C and USB-A) to transfer files and it worked without a hitch. Useful as an adapter, but not long enough to be called a cable by any means.

This charger had no problem quickly charging an iPhone 8 using a ToughTested USB-A to Lightning cable also purchased from B&H.

In order to use my old iPhone 5c with the Rode Micro microphone, this cable was necessary. I adapted it to my iPhone 7 lightning port as a test and it didn't work. I didn't investigate because the plan was to use the mic with the old phone anyway, so it might have worked and could have been my set up.

The cable is the only options I had to use the Irig2 with an iphone 11 but unfortunately it did't last no more than 60 days and broke during an interview. I had several issue with this cable and for the way it has to be plugged in into the the irig2 and the iphone 11. Therefore, since I had no other options I always keep an extra with me although I think it is not a reliable cable to work professionally.

I broke the connector to the power cable that came with my Sony camera. I ordered a cheap replacement from ... and showed a Sony power cable. It wasnt. It was a cheap knockoff that couldnt let me use the camera when it was plugged in. When I checked the specifications the voltages were different. I didnt want to break my camera so I ordered a real Sony power cable from B and H. It cost more but the real thing always does.

Plug and play. Great for iPhone with lightning adapter for the headset.
