Cheap Macbook Charger Makes Audio Noise

I had numerous cheap USB hubs that gave noise on my audio sources during live webinars and video recording. Was using 12/15 port powered hubs thinking they were all the same. I'm using high end audio gear and I traced it to my USB hubs by connecting directly to my PC and proving the noise went away. I'm using XLR mics, Rode NTG5 with Rodecaster Pro, ATEM mini pro, etc. Found no issues with the 4 and 7 port from Xcellon. Just purchased the 10 port Xcellon to replace the 4 because I still need more connections. The hubs I had trouble with weren't even sold by B&H. I will never try to save money again with USB hubs when audio quality is critical. 5 |

Cheap filters are made with cheap glass. Why would you put that on the front of your expensive lens? Makes no sense. B&W filters are claimed to be made w/ high quality glass--though I have no way of judging--and they aren't too expensive. A good balance, IMO. 5 |
