Cheap Microwave Plates

I like how it can be regenerated using a microwave oven. 5 |

Wanted some cheap plates for some of my macro toys work well. 5 |

Exactly as described and work well. Cheap (in price, not in quality) plates that I use with my Watson charger. 5 |

I bought this mainly because it is a single backplate, rather than the cheap ones that have you put braces between two separate back plates to create a longer one. I heard stories of those breaking or not being level, and it's just a flimsy design. This thing is solid though, and the install was really quite easy. 5 |

just buy it. It's $85 and be done. Not only do you miss out on not having a confidence monitor, but you look cheap and represent yourself as a corner cutter without having these face plates. 5 |

I'm still amazed at how cheap this was ($260 at this writing). It's a Gitzo product no doubt about that. This is a marked improvement over the previous version that used the proprietary Gitzo plates. I had no problem locking it down. Sure you can get it to move if you have leverage and force it. But in the real world it is not an issue for me. Great thing is it takes standard Arca type plates, which is hard to find in a fluid head. I'm using it on a Gitzo Leveling tripod. It's a great match for that. I'm going to buy another for my RRS ground pod for use with spotting scopes. 5 |

Good quality and relatively cheap, considering the prices of plates from other manufacturers. I use this plate on a 60D with a Sachtler FSB-4 head, instead of the factory Sachtler plate, which is too long for keeping attached to a DSLR in the field, in my opinion. 5 |

I use a large mixing bowl, filled with filtered water. I use the microwave to warm the water, 2-3 minutes, and mix about half the powder. Repeat for the remaining powder. Let it cool over night. 5 |

Fantastic product. Have even run the microwave on it with no issues. Charges as fast as they say it can. Plenty of outlets to plug stuff into. I have not triggered the breakers so this is a very legit battery backup system! I hope they make a large system to run the whole house one day. 5 |

I use these at tower sites to receive and re-transmit my point to point microwave network. They supply power to the tower top radios and provide all switching functions plus allow me to remotely view the actual bandwidth across each port in real time. Plus they bring local bandwidth into the towers local router. Another inexpensive but vital part in my network. 5 |
