I mounted a Burris scout 2-7x32 on my Ruger GSR and it has a few mm clearance, perfect. The rings are mounted as forward as possible on the rail.

When needing more clearance, the Camvate Shoe Mount Rod Holder is the ideal accessory to attach a follow-focus or FF motor between support rods and a large-diameter lens. The rod holder clamps the support rod tight, so there is no movement from the torque of the follow-focus or FF motor. However, there is the slightest bit of play in the shoe mount—this is eliminated with a little gaffer's tape.

This little adapter works great, better than actually expected because it provided the little bit of extra clearance I needed for my monitor (Atomos Shinobi) when mounted on the side of my Sony Fx 3 with a SmallRig half cage. Glad I went this way instead of buying a whole new smallRig Arm.

I was looking for a case that would be shorter than my current case to allow clearance for the bigger antennas on my new WiFi router that sits on top. The dimensions of this case fit my requirement perfectly. What wasn't clear to me is if it would accommodate my optical drive (Blu-ray burner). I was pleasantly surprised to find that it does! The optical drive and storage drawer sit behind the magnetic panel on the lower front of the unit. The icing on the cake is how much quieter my PC is! The design and built quality is very high with plenty of room for neat wiring runs.

I decided to get this bag because of Porta Brace's outstanding reputation and the fact that it's a near-perfect fit for the HM170, although it would also fit other smallish camcorders. The inside of the bag is burnt orange with a tight black document pocket on one side. It comes with a velcro divider. With the HM170 in the bag there's about 3-4 inches of clearance in front of the camera, assuming you push the camera all the way to one side. There's probably 1-2 inches of clearance on the sides of the camera. These measurements were taken with the lens hood and microphone mounted. (See attached photo) I would say there's enough room for the camera, power supply, a few batteries, and some small items but not much else. All in all, an excellent bag that will stand the rigors of the field.

This is paramount in locations where the eve may extend lower. Gives extra clearance for the camera as well as cord management.

If you have the GoPro Hero9 Black and using the Media Mod, I highly recommend as there is plenty of clearance from the Mod housing to tighten without the use of tools.
