They do have Bluetooth, though, so as long as you have a smart TV, an Nvidia Shield, a gaming laptop, or a Bluetooth-capable motherboard, you should be set for the reclusive world of active noise canceling. Unlike other noise-canceling headphones, the WH-1000XM3 use an unusually silent QN1 HD noise-canceling processor. In our testing, we found it was able to keep out most sounds, even on the crowded New York City subway. The battery does take a hit for this, but you can take solace in the fact that the WH-1000XM3 last 30 hours fully charged. After 10 minutes of being plugged in via USB-C, Sony claims they can deliver pristine high fidelity sound over five hours. And, to top it all off, volume and playback commands are touch-based. These headphones are simply amazing. Everything works perfectly, and the noise canceling works very well. The microphone is also great for calls and meetings. I would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone.

The comfort from these things is amazing, sound is great, microphone is awesome, i love that the mic is noise canceling just with the headphones were too.

An incredible range for walking around the house, the microphone is a shame that's not replaceable but still, the noise-canceling is great, the fact that he has the MIX-AMP already embedded is a pro too, doesn't contain any of the bugs maintained on previous gen's, 10 out of 10.

So I know that using these for just listening to music played back straight from a laptop isn't what these were made for, but considering that my only other option is top-tier noise canceling headphones, that make my ears hurt from the noise-canceling software, I wanted something different. While these aren't noise canceling, they effectively block out my work environment so that everything around me becomes a soft murmur. The noise canceling phones basically make you a space explorer with the way they work, in comparison. When they're on, they take the $300 competition and use them to sweep the floors with. The sound is EXCELLENT. If only I had an amp or some software to control treble, base, & mid; I'd be totally set. The problem with these is that you put them on, plug them in, & realize very quickly that your playback device is too cheap =\ To make sure it wasn't the phones, i plugged them into a true mixing station, & the M50x's make it feel like my own personal concert. Construction is top notch as well. I'll be jaw-dropping-ly surprised if the cup swivels just peel off like my last cheap set of 'phones. I also wear glasses, & they are better than my old set with them. Still get fatigue after an hour though, but ok to just flip my frames above the cushion & still see well.

Are very good ,  noise canceling , very light, I love it.

The sound is very good and the noise canceling is superb.
