I like how it can be regenerated using a microwave oven.

A great cheap toy camera to play with and see what comes out. Nothingof great quality but that is its charm.

Looking for a lightweight triopod , I found lots of tiny cheap toy-ike ones that I didn't think would safely hold my large Galaxy Note 10 with clamp, much less be steady. I've been happy with my old Slik tripod so I tried this one. It's compact, especially without a pan head (I miss that, but can swap that later]. It's several pounds lighter and about a foot shorter when collapsed than the old one, yet almost as tall extended. Quality is

What an upgrade from the cheap toy tripods. If you are wanting a nice tripod and head, just get this and be done with it. You'll be happy.

Sturdy, versatile holder. Makes my old Cokin P-holder seem like a cheap toy. Holds up to three filters with no vignetting when using ultra-wide lenses like Nikons 12-24.

5 stars if you want a unbelievably cheap plastic toy that allows you to take actual photographs. Yes, ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPHS!It's like the 1960's all over again. Truthfully, though, the Holga allows you to think about the photograph and not about all of the details modern digital cameras throw at you - white balance, exposure, etc. Digital can get in the way of creativity. The Holga allow you to do things that would be complicated Photoshop adventures with a digital camera - like double (triple, quadruple??) exposures (actually, more that 2 usually just adds confusion) and incremental microclick overlapping exposures. Enjoy, and don't worry. But remember, you only have 12 exposures (more or less, depending on your mood and how you wind the film)

It has its flaws - it's super plastic-y and feels like a toy, the focus motor sounds like an RC car, and maybe it isn't as sharp as the Canon 50mm f/1.8 it copies. But it's also super cheap. I'm a hobbyist who mainly shoots street and landscape (on a crop sensor camera), but when I'm having fun with friends, this delivers portraits that look perfectly fine on social media. The bokeh looks very good. It's also just fun to work with the limitations of this lens. The lack of image stabilization has also been a challenge since I'm spoiled by IS in all my other lenses. Ultimately, this is a toy and is priced as one. If you need quality and reliability, buy the Canon. If you absolutely need to get the shot every time, buy a lens with better autofocus and image stabilization. If you want fun on the cheap, or if you want to wean yourself off electronic assists, this lens delivers. As a a side note, the aperture iris gets stuck at f/1.8 when the temperature drops below freezing.I can safely say my copy does not work at 14F/-10C, but I have no idea where issues actually begin. This isn't my only lens affected by the recent cold spell in NYC though, and the others are more expensive so no penalty from me.
