Cheap Underwater Camera Lights

I actually borrowed this DiCAPac from a friend, I've always wanted to try underwater photography but never had the means to. This is a cheap alternative to the more expensive underwater housings - it kept my camera dry but it is slightly difficult to use a short lens with underwater (I prefer prime lenses). Best to get your settings right before placing the camera in the bag, otherwise your gonna have a bad time.

I am an underwater photographer, and packing my camera and lights takes up multiple bags. These v2 cubes are great (I bought a few in every size except X-small), but specifically the Smedium size is my favorite. It fills a much needed niche between the small which is too big too be considered small but not big enough to be very useful. And the Medium is sometimes too big. The Smedium is my favorite size and I can see buying many of these!

I took shots at dark. The camera saw what I could not. It is going to be quite useful in my underwater adventures.

Heavy - as it should be. Protects my lights for my (cheap) tripods.

I was looking fir a snoot to shoot underwater with my Weefine WFS07 video/strobe lights. The head is 3 in diameter and these fit perfectly and provide the exact effect I was looking for

Sealife has an adapter for everything. We love Sealife products. WE have their underwater cameras, the 2000 and 2500 lum lights and adapters. Very reliable and durable equipment.

This is very similar to trays I have used on many underwater video housings and fits my adapters and lights. The adjustment allows you to widen to allow for filters and close up lenses that swing to the side. Good quality. Wrenches supplied to tighten.

My "holy grail" of top lights for my news camera! No, it's not cheap but it is what I've wanted for years. A light weight, bi-color light that does not feel like a boat anchor when mounted on my camera's articulated arm. The controls are easy to get to. The opposite side of the light is a latched door which gives you access to the cell phone style lithium battery it runs on. Charges from a USB and I have run it several times over an hour with no lose in power. I am sure it will happen some day, but until then it has been an answer to my prayers. The diffuser which comes with it...works, but I took it off. It just seemed more in the way than functional 90 percent of the time. I still give this light five stars. I leave it mounted on my camera all the time because it is light weight and not a burden to carry around like other lights. This is not an HMI. It gives great bi-color light without the usual green tint issues cheaper brands produce. I wish they had identical mounting holes on the unit instead of the tiny one which the semi-usless diffuser attaches with. That way I could always have the light controls on the side I want no matter what direction I mount t on the articulated camera arm. It will be even better when the price comes down but, until then, my back says "thank you" for not adding weight to my broadcast camera! A poor man's "raincoat" will keep this expensive puppy dry in rain. I keep cheap zip lock bags to slip over it in case of rain!
