I have been using Samsung SSDs since the 830, and the pro version since the 840 pro came out both in my own machines and clients and have never had any issues at all and great speed from the drives. Definitely some of the most reliable drives available!

We upgraded the C disks on two Win 7 PRO SP1 64-bit machines: the current C disks were Samsung 840 PRO 256GM SSDs; the new C disks were the 1TB versions of the PRO 260 line. The transition was really easy using the Samsung Data Migration software from their web site. We also used an inexpensive disk caddy while that software was running. The machines have been up for a week or so with the new C disks and we have experienced no problems, same as with the 840's we replaced. The price drop for this technology made the updates very inviting. Note, you can get Samsung EVO SSD's for a lot less. They are a quality product too but the warranty period is shorter.

Performance is stellar. Win7 and new can use the Magician software to enable RAPID mode (disk cache), which is ideal on battery powered laptops to ensure no data loss from a power outage. The PRO is more durable than the EVO series, and priced accordingly. PRO is for heavy use. Leave 5~10% of the disk as raw/unallocated for automatic wear leveling.
