In my previous review I stated that my Pentax K1 would not recognize the EXIF data from the lens. It turns out this was caused by a faulty lens. Irix USA has issued a RMA to me, and will be exchanging the defective lens with a properly functioning lens under their warranty. They have handled this quickly and without cost to me. 5 |

I enjoy shooting with this lens, landscape and macro. It doesn't pass EXIF data to the camera. But pictures are OK. 5 |

Outstanding build quality. Weather sealed, metal barrel, butter smooth focus. Stunning image quality. The only thing you give up with this lens is any electronic connection to the camera so you get no EXIF data or auto focusing. I find auto focus wide angle lenses to be pointless. The EXIF data can easily be added through the camera or at import depending on your setup so that is only a minor inconvenience. Considering the price of this lens compared to a similar AF option there really is no reason not to use this lens. 5 |
