I'm a Linux user of 15 years, I finally bought a Macbook Pro for Video/Photo content creations. It's my first mac and im BLOWN away. From the touchbar to the retina display, the look, the specs. It is just a BEAST. I wanted the 13 because I travel and film on location often, and this is perfection. Due to the Terminal natively supporting the BASH language, I can still use Terminal with the same language i'm used to. And the PROCESSING power is incredible. I could type a 70 page review about how In love i am with this Macbook. Fits perfectly in my Peak Design Everyday Sling and my Peak Design Everyday Messenger bags. Stop reading this and buy it. Connect to external monitor at home if you need a bigger display, but the 13 screen is perfect for me and the quality of the picture is impossible to put into words. You'll see... 5 |

Great machine. We are currently using one connected to terminal and file servers with another protecting the DC and network rack. B&H had the best price we could find and it arrived long before expected. Couldnt be happier with this purchase. 5 |

I was using a homebrew Linux server for my Plex system. That machine died due to a power fluctution (looking at you First Energy). This was chosen as a replacement. Very much easier to manage, although not quite as versatile as a general prupose Linux system (then again NOTHING is as versatile). 5 |

For some reason, Linux is not listed as a compatible system. This device works out of the box without any issues on every Linux distro I tried it on (mainly Fedora and Ubuntu). 5 |

I used this to build a linux firewall server. The old server that I had was destroyed by a lightning strike. So far, the new system is doing the job. 5 |

I have been using Samsung 500gb SSDs as system drives for my z840 workstation, but recently gave the PNY a chance and am very pleased. I like having spare drives like this around as I keep one for Windows and another for Linux. I also clone my drives before doing any complicated updates or installs (especially since I am very inexperienced with Linux). The 500gb size is perfect size to hold my OS, since all of my media is saved to a 4xTB NVME M.2 RAID. I highly recommend PNY 500gb SATA SSD 5 |
