Antenna is surprisingly heavy for its size and seems very well made. Reception is definitely better than the stock antenna.

I bought this antenna a week ago and I can tell I have stronger reception even inside my garage!!!

I recently purchased a set of Midland GXT 1000VP4 2 way radios. My girlfriend and I plan on using them while camping. We aren't always together. Me out looking for gold and her doing it is what she does when I'm not around. I have a piece of mind knowing she has a radio and her sidearm for safety reasons. We recently went up in the desert to check reception. It was great. When I go to my house we check reception. I live about 7 miles from her and can hear with good clarity. I can recommend these products.

Due to being in a semi rural area my reception can sometimes be slightly spotty…especially with local channels. I’ve been looking for something to help me out, and I think I have a winner! Of course for me, I’m simply interested in “does it work?” The short answer is yes it does! 60 mile range, a 360 degree multi directional function, and a small display that lets me know if my reception is good 1 light, better 2, or best 3 (Indicated by lights next to them). It did pass the one test that 9 out of 10 men must have….the wife test! She really liked the stylish design (mine is black) it looks almost like a Bluetooth speaker, But pretty effortlessly matches the decor while still being attractive enough that it doesn’t matter if it’s on display. I beleive there is also a white option if that suits your design preferences better. Great product and definitely functional.

Works great. Be sure to extend the wire antenna for weather & general reception. Love the volume up/down buttons. Even with soapy fingers just a push does what I (and Sandy) want. Nice (here in the woods) to keep track of weather. Also am VERY fond of it using two size D batteries which should last a lot longer than little AA batteries. B&H ships fast and packs well - thank you B&H, well done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The antenna is quite small and has a black fabric cover that makes it extremely easy to hide within the room decor. The appearance of the antenna is a considerable upgrade from the old antennas from my early days. Instructions were clear and set up was a breeze. I placed the antenna in a room on my 2nd floor for the best reception. I live about 35 miles from Atlanta, GA and we were able to get about 40-50 local and cable channels. The reception for some channels was better than others but overall, we have quite a few free channels that we don’t have to pay for. Great find. I would definitely recommend

We were having reception problems using the built in antennas on our receiver until we attached this antenna. We went from having less than 50' of range to successfully testing at over 300'. Well worth the very reasonable cost.

Excellent product. Great upgrade to the antenna that comes included with the MXT275. Clear reception for a greater distance.
