The battery works fine with the Sony EX1R. The Info function is useful to check all my extra batteries. Im always informed about my total power.

My previous Sony headphones were studio headphones and I was unsure how much of an upgrade these new ones would be. I use them for playing my keyboard workstation. I read the reviews and decided to make the purchase not really knowing how much of an upgrade they would be. I was shocked when I heard the presence of the keyboard in these headphones. When I hit a bass note it sounded so different and deeper. I kept playing and playing and all of my songs sounded new again. For $90 what a crazy upgrade! You have to hear it to believe it.

My Sony 7506 headphones desperately needed its pads replaced as they were flaking all over my neck. Eww! These were easy to install and extremely comfortable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new Sony noise canceling headphones are the chiz! If you have two guys playing video games in the house and need to drown them out, look no further. The quality of music is great to. You can hear instrumentals that you wouldn’t normally hear with any other headphones. You also can take calls and get things done!

My 20 year old Sony Professional headphones finally died after one too many drops to the floor. I purchased these as a replacement. I use these headphones to do run and gun video production and music (primarily piano) recitals. They provide full range frequency sound which allows me to hear all of the bad notes.

My frame of reference is the Sony WH-1000XM4 (my wife's) and WH-1000XM3 (which I sold after getting these). The main plus is over the other two the great detailed sound. I have four headphones, earbuds for the gym (Sony WF-1000XM4, I hate over ear headphones when working out), gaming headphones for my computer, very expensive headphones for TV and music at night when my wife is asleep, and these for when I am traveling when noise cancellation is important. I listen to podcasts when I am a passenger in a car (frequently) and watch movies when traveling in a plane and hanging out. I can understand dialogue much better with these headphones over the Sony's. Though noise cancellation isn't quite as good as the Sony WH's (though superior to the WF-1000XM4), it is still very impressive and the superior clarity of the Momentums more than makes up for that. My main complaint is that I cannot get the Sennheiser app to work with these headphones. Though I do not need to turn up the treble to help clarify speech (I do with the Sony's when listing to podcasts and movies), it could be desirable. I think where it could help is with some rock songs. The Sony WH's sound better on some songs due to their fuller sound. I think I could compensate for that on some songs with the equalizer by turning up the bass. Having said that some songs still sound better on the Momentums.

I recently received the new Sony WH1000XM3 headphones to test out and review. After extensive use in my office and home environments and while traveling, I’m thoroughly impressed. Here are several noteworthy impressions I had. First, in addition to the superb sound quality you’d expect from Sony, the noise cancellation is outstanding. Whether I’m sitting on an airplane at 35,000 feet up, or sitting at my desk in a shared workspace with various other conversations taking place around me, these headphones silence the background noise and allow greater focus on the task at hand. Second, expect serious comfort. After wearing these headphones for hours at a time, on several different occasions, I have yet to feel any discomfort on or around my ears. I’ve used other noise-cancelling headphones, such as the Bose QC35, and in comparison, these Sony headphones are the first to not cause any discomfort after prolonged use, in my experience. Third, the battery life is excellent. According to Sony’s written specifications, the battery life totals 30 hours, and a 10-minute charge results in 5 hours of playback. On the first instance of running the battery down after plenty of use, I charged these headphones for around 20 minutes, and afterwards the battery was nearly full. Wow! Lastly, these headphones reflect genius design. Rather than clicking buttons, you can utilize easy touch operation by swiping your finger along the right ear cup. It took a few minutes to get used to it, but now it’s second nature and very convenient. Also, I love the “quick attention mode.” Simply cover the right ear cup with your hand, and it automatically turns the volume down and the noise cancellation off, allowing for spontaneous communications to be heard. I could go on and on about the other features I enjoy, but suffice it to say that I’m extremely impressed, and I look forward to using these headphones during work and travel for years to come.

My favorite feature is the long battery life! Many much more expensive wireless headphones don't last nearly as long between charging. I love these so much!
