I brought this during a sale, so I got a huge a discount so may not apply to everyone. While the temperature for this CPU is very erratic, AMD said the CPU was designed to run even on higher temperature then expected for boosted performance. I have seen no stutters or degraded game performance despite the temperature. Make sure to look up what is the safe temperature range and get a really good CPU cooler because this CPU produces so much heats. I use a lot of virtual machines and multi-tasking while also gaming, so it is good to have a CPU that can run multiple tasks at once and not conflict with one another. For its price though Ryzen 5 5600x and 9 5900x is good because it is double the cores for additional $250 which is better then the price for Ryzen 7 5800x but that your budget to decide. Overall, good CPU that will not need you to upgrade for many years to come.

I really like this APU, so far I did not get any problem with the temperature of the GPU and the CPU even though I'm using the stock cooler. The CPU it self is great! that means you can get a discrete GPU when this crisis end and you will still get a great performance from the CPU alone. I'm bad at overclocking but I think u can OC with the stock cooler even though my luck wasn't the best when I tried to overclock the GPU, I was able to get it to 2300mhz but I kept crashing so I just set it back to 1900mhz I think you will be able to OC with the stock cooler you just need to know what you are doing, I think I had a voltage issue not a temperature issue, I'm not really sure. I didn't attempt to OC the CPU and I don't know if its possible to do so with the stock cooler but you might try it yourself. Overall its a great APU because when you get a discrete GPU you will get a good performance from it as a CPU!

Good cheap CPU The CPU is really good I recommend it for Budget Builds The clock Speed is 4.3Ghz without overclocking, But under the load in Cinebench R23 on multithread the max temperature is 91, But u can do undervolt like me. After Undervolting to 1.250v the temperature went down to 76 under the load in CineBench R23 without losing in clocks.

Love being able to check the temperature in the basement against our thermostat on the main floor. We also have a sensor upstairs in the baby’s room so we can adjust the house temperature based on his room during very cold or very hot days.

I was lucky enough to hop on B&H doing my Daily check for a 3000 Series GPU, and found this Guy in stock instead. I've been wanting to go back to AMD, after having been very disappointed with the FX-6100 back in the day. I went from the 6100 to an i7 4770k then from that to an i7 8700k...so yeah been riding with Intel for awhile. But, I've been seeing AMD coming back in recent years. Then, I saw the Benchmarks for Zen 3 and was sold. I wanted to grab the 5800x. I'm not disappointed. I paired this Beast with the MSI coremag 360r or some such AIO. It keeps this CPU Temps around 40 degrees idle and never above 70 under load. I love this CPU. I can be proud to Rock an AMD CPU again.
