Just purchased 2019 MacBook Pro, i9 2.4GHz CPU, 2TB SSD, 32GB RAM, Pro Vega 20 GPU. Upgraded to Catalina. Purchased usb-c to display port cable for 4K - tested and worked to get 4K resolution on this monitor. Purchased thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 3 cable rated at 40GB, 100W, 5K @ 60Hz - worked to get 5K resolution on this monitor. Purchased two other usb-c cables rated at 20GB and both failed to transmit video/audio to this monitor. Make sure you use a thunderbolt 3 cable that has the appropriate power and bandwidth rating to transmit 5K resolution on this monitor. 5 |
