Chip Memory Card Usb Flash Drive

I wanted to know the actual Write speed, but didn't get a real world answer. But SanDisk is a GREAT brand (I have several USB drives & Memory cards), so I purchased the 512GB version and tested it myself connecting the USB-C plug to a new Galaxy S22 smartphone with USB-C port. - TEST RESULTS - Transfer of one 2.25GB Video file: Write speed: 43 MB/s Read speed: 100 MB/s - IMPORTANT NOTE: These results might be the optimal since it was ONE large file and the USB Drive was empty (except for that file when reading, so no fragmentation of any kind). With MULTIPLE files, the speed is lower, as on EVERY SSD, HDD, USB Flash Drive and Memory Card. - As every very compact USB drive with two different USB ports on each end that I have used, it gets a bit hot, but so far I never have any problem with any of them. - This one is compact, sturdy and clicks on each USB port position. It also has a hole for carrying. - I am Very happy with my purchase. - If you want faster Read/Write speeds, then an option is to buy Sandisk Extreme Pro SD Card and use an USB Card reader to use it as a USB Flash drive, but total cost is the double of this VERY COMPACT and STURDY USB Drive. Update can be done without old CPU with USB flash drive only.

We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly.

I have never had a problem with a Sandisk memory card or thumb drive

You can open it and pull the hard drive out with bare hands, 2 screws holding the sata converter board. Inside is a WD White label drive. You can put another drive in the enclosure only if you flash the sata to usb board firmware. Short circuit the winbond chip on pins 1 and 2 (1 marked with a dot) while powering it on to get into flash mode, there is a flash tool and firmware on the internet. You can actually edit the firmware with a hex editor and change the manufacturer, product name, ids etc, good fun. It's using a JMicron chip.
