with the new Sony 35mm 1.8 coming out at half the price and half the weight I was having a hard time choosing this lens over that one, after much thought I decided to pull the trigger on the sigma and from the moment I got it I've been nothing but impressed. it's really sharp wide open, with minimal CA, the focus is accurate and fast enough. the bokeh is absolutely dreamy and smooth. distortion is apparent and definitely a weak point for this lens in addition to it's weight at 2.4lbs both of those issues aren't big enough to over come how amazing the image quality is. I highly recommend this lens I couldn't be happier. 5 |
