Chrome Audio Not Playing Through Wireless Headset

I was hesitated for this headset for quite a while. It is mostly due to the high price around 90+. B&H had it for $ and I had no second thought and grabbed it. The PC dongle works great as your audio device stay online whether you have the headset set to USB or not. This won't confuse the PC as applications tend to bind it to an audio device and get confused when you disconnect devices. Bind a bluetooth headset to PC and you know what I mean. I use the bluetooth mode for my cell phone only. Switching works flawlessly with a toggle on the headset. The boom mic also falls into one of my strict criteria as I found most of the wireless bluetooth headset without boom mic struggle to deliver clear voice. This one will not let anyone to notice you on wireless. I have it working with all my VOIP app, including my company Cisco VOIP app. 5 |

For years I had been using the older Sennheiser RS 120 wireless headset which operated in the 926-928 MHz frequency range. The performance was adequate, but the unit suffered from multipath cancellation (signal reduction due to the out of phase combination of multiple reflections). You will notice this when you move your head slightly, and there would be a sudden, and audible, change in signal amplitude or a short burst of background noise. As I had need for an addition system, I decided on the RS 175 as it seemed to have good reviews. I have not been disappointed. The RS 175 operates in the 2.4 GHz band with digital modulation. While 2.4 GHz systems are also subject to multipath propagation deterioration, I noticed none with this system, even with the headset taken outside onto the patio with the transmitter 40+ feet away. As typical with digital modulation systems, there was a threshold effect -- if the headset got out of range, the signal would abruptly disappear, quieting the audio -- in the past, you would simply be greeted with noise. In addition, I very much like the Bass Boost and Surround Sound options which can be quickly selected at the press of a button on the headset. The one negative for the headset is that you need to really take the headset off in order to figure out which button to press. I find this a rather minor inconvenience as I am not changing audio level, bass boost or surround sound options on the fly. In summary, Sennheiser did a superb job with this unit. The audio quality is excellent (I used an analog input -- an optical interface also exists for even better quality) and the annoying multipath effects so common with many wireless headsets are non-existent. 5 |

I own two headset microphones. I own a wireless Nady UHF headset and a Audio Technica ATM75. The Audio Technica is a lot better durability and reliability. The headset from Audio Technica stays on my head a lot better than the Nady wireless. The Audio Technica headset mic is made a lot better than the Nady wireless. The Audio Technica is made out of metal for the headset and the Nady is made out of plastic. I like the Audio Technica a lot better. 5 |

Headset build and audio quality is excellent. I wish the headset itself looked a little better but build seems very durable. 5 |

It blocks out the noise so you can hear all the different audio in the headset. 5 |

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have another brand of wireless charger in my office and love the convenience. I wanted one in my living room that would do justice to the looks of my iPhone 11 and use it's fast charging. Wow! The other charging pad is made like a toy by comparison and didn't even come with a wall charger. When I received the package I was surprised by the weight of the box and when I opened it found the charging pad is an elegant, hefty chrome and black platform to place up to two phones. It also comes with a wall charger with about a 3 foot cable that plugs into the unit's back. This is a very well made product that's a beautiful, simple design. The chrome reflects whatever surface it's sitting on helping it blend in and the black textured plastic top looks like leather, not plastic and is a nice large surface where you can drop your phone for charging. It's not too fussy about placement and gives simple clear indication via two LED's on the unit front it's charging. The first time I used it my phone was at about 70% and it charged to full in a little over 40 minutes. It was at over 95% in about 30 minutes. Now I have the pressure from my wife to upgrade her iPhone to a newer model with wireless charging so she can also charge it on this - but at least we won't have to fight over who uses the charger! Plus we can keep the living room free of charging cables lying around tables. I'm all for living clutter free! Now I understand why they called use Freedom in the name. 5 |
