Chromebook Assign Keyboard Shortcuts To Usb Controller

Turns out this unassuming little silvery puck is kinda useful. If you need a dedicated jog wheel for video scrubbing, you may want a dedicated option with plenty of customizable buttons, but if you're a casual video editor, this'll really come in handy. Just assign the wheel and single-click functions for the video editor you're using to the editor's relevant shortcuts. It's that easy. The dial knows what app is in focus and changes the settings accordingly. But don't limit yourself to video editing: undo/redo, brush parameters, canvas rotate, next/previous track with play/pause for the button actuation, ink replay in OneNote ... the sky is the limit. And it's tiny and wireless! Just know two things: you can't assign shortcuts that use the Windows key, and the Dial will fall asleep after a while, which doesn't bother me but might bother you. 5 |

Time is everything. If you are not using keyboard shortcuts in Davinci Resolve, you are doing it wrong and burning time uselessly. This keyboard popped up on my B&H radar just as I began making painfully intricate color-coded reference notecards for the shortcuts in DR. This keyboard is WAAAAY better--the color coding is clear and obvious, and the backlighting, shows the commands on the individual keys clearly. It is also comprehensive, showing commands I haven't even discovered yet. One day, I won't need these clues, but I'm not there yet. Also, when I go a week without editing, I forget things. It is very easy to use and over a couple of weeks my editing speed increased dramatically--WOW! Really. Even glancing over at a notecard is distracting and can easily derail my workflow (is this just me?) The first time I opened Davinci Resolve, I was struck by how intricate and tiny the UI toolbar controls were, and really struggled with a bad mouse and a tiny monitor. Shortcuts are more precise too--they eliminate any analog, floating movement from a touchy mouse I was unsure about the scissor construction of the keys at first, as I usually like the strong feedback of a mechanical gaming keyboard. Conclusion: The key action is fine (and it's quieter). There is a soft tactile pivot point where you confirm input by touch. There are two USB plugs: one for the keyboard itself and one to power the built-in USB ports (2). Laptop owners may consider a USB hub or Thunderbolt Dock 5 |

Unifi controller adopted it with no problem and was able to assign ports and static IPs quickly. POE for the unit is handy for remote locations when running power is difficult. 5 |

The AVIO works just like you would imagine. Plug into the network, assign what you want in Dante Controller, and presto. Really terrific tool to have whether you need to add a last minute speaker or just working on a quick project and only need two outputs. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. 5 |

I could go on about this little controller forever. I use it for editing videos, and I love, love, love it. It's very easy to get set up and assign the hotkeys, and once it's ready to go, it's a real lifesaver for my hands. It's a comfortable size for my hand, and it's very well-built, so it feels sturdy. 5 |

Needed to plug in a keyboard controller to my MacBook Pro. USB C and USB B are electrically compatible. Why are there not more of these cables? I went to a big box store and a local geek store in the college part of town. At both places the 20 something kids didn't even know what USB B was! I'd think there would be a ton of people plugging USB printers etc into USB C computers. Guess it's just me. Well B&H had this cable. It works perfectly. More robust than I expected as well. I thought it was going to be a much dinkier cable honestly. Would buy again. Might in fact, just to have a backup in case. 5 |
