I have larger reflectors but sometimes they can get in the way. Not this one. I use it mostly as the lower portion of a clam shell setup.

I bought this to use for head shots and clam shell lighting. While it seems popular to use a small strip bank as the lower light for this lighting set up,....I much prefer the smaller, shorter small box and this one does a incredible job of knocking down the shadows, giving an extra measure of control by not totally obliterating the shadows. And as always....Chimera makes a great product that lasts for many, many years. Highly recommended!!!

I really like how this is designed. First, it comes in a clam shell case so you do not need to worry about damaging the paper. I like the 1/4 20 thread to attach it to a stand but have yet to use it. And then, the fact it can flip over so each card has two sides is beesknees.

I recently got the 30L. Exceptional craftsmanship and design. The quality really shows and I expect this to last over a decade with constant traveling—as my Tumi backpack survived over ten years of international travel. I am realizing this is a very special backpack with only one exterior pocket and the clam shell design. A design decision that fits my pursuit for less clutter which gives my better mental clarity. My current Tumi has 5 exterior pockets… But I have learned over the years that five pockets encourages me to carry a lot of unnecessary stuff. I did a few audits of my backpack content over the last few years and realized that over half of the stuff I was carrying (besides notebook and laptop) was not being used. So, before getting this 30L, I had already started moving to less stuff in outside pockets, which are only the immediate essentials (ear pods, business cards, gum/mints, sunglasses, work access badge). Everything else can go in the main compartment. There are a couple of zippered pouches inside the clam shell main compartment. I have found that I can easily access the upper mesh interior pocket without having to open the entire clam shell. This is great because this design allows for a few more easily accessed items like passport and moleskin notebook (with a pen loop on notebook). I did get the compression cubes and will be using them for 1-2 day business trips. I will also use the bag for my DSLR setup with pro lenses. I am certainly enjoying the bag so far and look forward to a long 10+ year relationship with it. I think it can handle it. The trade offs with the bag are right for me and meet my desire for an everyday carry that can do a little more when needed.

My florescent, clam shell lights came with flexible goose neck mounts which made them hard to mount properly in a vertical position. These adapters solved the problem.

Love the Touch ID when MacBook Pro is in clam shell mode with external monitor.

What a great idea for battery storage! I already have clam shell holders which hold 4 AA at a time. I was concerned the ends were not protected but the clever design protects the ends! The positive end has a notch it fits into and the negative is recessed. The battery has a friction lock which feels secure!

I purchased this to more easily achieve clam shell lighting with an Einstein and beauty dish. I don't know what I was expecting, but this was a much bigger attachment than what I thought it would be. It is solid and fairly heavy. It might be about a foot long. I had to get an extender for the stud on my boom in order for this to work, but it is definitely worth it for me.

I used to work in musical instrument & pro audio retail and I hate to pay retail for cables, but I also realize the value of having good cables where data and audio transfer are critical. I bought these cables for all of my camera tethering and for data communication with one of my synthesizers to communicate with my computers. Im very pleased with the construction and performance & I also like the bright orange so these cables stand out from my other data cables.
