This is a classic filter for black and white photography. Pumps up the contrast while keeping skin tones natural. I use this with a Leica M Monochrome but any film camera or digital camera that will shoot in camera black and white can make good use. I only use B+W filters because it is the only glass that is up to the optical quality of my lenses. 5 |

Ilford HP5 is a very versatile black and white film. It will give your pictures a classic look. The bulk package is great and allows you to take a lot of pictures. If your interested in Black and White film photography Ilford HP5 should be part of your film staple. 5 |

If you like medium-speed, classic-grained black and white film, this is the one. Its grain is neither too big nor too small. It is neither too contrasty nor too flat. The physical medium of the negative doesn't feel skimpy or cheap, and it doesn't curl, no matter the humidity (or lack thereof) in your darkroom. And it makes perfectly beautiful images, shot at ASA 250, and developed in Diafine. Perhaps the best reason to buy it, though, is to support Ilford. Ilford's continued commitment to film photography makes them an organization on which it is well worth spending some money. 5 |

This paper has the textural quality of the old fiber based classic pearl black and white papers. The Smooth Pearl paper has a real sense of elegance. 5 |

A client wanted authentic black & white film photography to help document the repair and restoration of a classic sports car. I previously tried some classic Kodak Tri-X and found it too contrasty for the level of detail needed. This shot, a throwaway because of the camera shake, illustrates tonal quality just right for the job. Thank you, Fujifilm, for continuing to produce this film and keep the cost reasonable. 5 |

If you are looking for a Black and White film roll, look no further this is the classic B/N with 400 asa that will give that special grain and texture to your photos. It is flexible, easy to develop and B&H offers a great amount of options. Always I recommend to buy from B&H as they keep their rolls stored in cold conditions. 5 |

Love the classic Black & White look, with decent amounts of grain and good shades of value. I love the fact it is C-41 which makes it easy to get developed. Couldn't complain with the price or quality. 5 |

Hands down my favorite black and white film of all time! The classic grain, tones, and contrast of Tri-x can't be beat. There's good reason this film has been around so long! 5 |
