This is a classic filter for black and white photography. Pumps up the contrast while keeping skin tones natural. I use this with a Leica M Monochrome but any film camera or digital camera that will shoot in camera black and white can make good use. I only use B+W filters because it is the only glass that is up to the optical quality of my lenses. 5 |

greatest of the naturallest of lights . classic to have in every kit. skin tones with golden glow when reflected and smoooth when diffused. however the light source needs to be of high output for a great result 5 |

I can't say enough about this lens. I acquired it specifically to shoot religious rituals inside shrines and temples in Japan. I have not been disappointed. The 2.0 aperture gives me as much light as I could possibly need in most cases, and the zoom capability allows me to do medium angle to close ups -- faces, etc. Amazing. There's a sharpness in the photo that is unsurpassed. Great engineering and concept. Other photographs I show it to drool with envy. Expertise: Semi pro--i sell my work Problems Encountered: I wish it weighed less but I understand why it doesn't. A monopod or tripod helps a lot! I purchased this microphone on the recomendation of the B&H sales staff for use during religious services and installed it on the podium. It works very well. The sound is true, the voice clarity prefect, and the pick up when the speaker is off center from the mic is very good. 5 |
