Fits perfectly on my Audio Technica AT835B shotgun mic. As this microphone is relatively old and not in production, find accessories for it can be a challenge. However the 24cm Rycote Classic Softie fits perfectly. Build quality is fantastic and functionality has exceeded my expectations. With a bare microphone above a fan at full speed, you will hear the peaks and also the wind noise as it hits the capsule of the microphone. However, upon applying the Classic Softie to my AT835B, all the noise and wind from the fan had disappeared, I was shock to only hear the rumble of the motor and the fan spinning as it forced the air through the fan. It was absolutely mind blowing that the Classic Softie had cut away all the wind noise and not once was there a bleed of wind through the Classic Softie. If you're looking for a windscreen to cut away your wind noise, look no further, you won't regret purchasing a Classic Softie. 5 |

The 414 has earned its place as a classic microphone. I had been using Rodes as overhead mics for drums in my studio, but I had never been satisfied, they just couldn't bring out the details and the delicate nature of the cymbals. The 414s do that, while retaining oomph in the toms. 5 |
