Classic Rock Backing Tracks For Guitar

2024-06-07 07:37:30

I play guitar and wanted to use my tablet to play backing tracks thru my PA. Was running tablet directly into PA input but not great quality sound. Someone suggested a DI Box. Never heard of it but decided to give it a try. Seemed to help the sound quality. Especially helped my laptop. It used to make alien static sounds thru the PA. This little magic box filtered it right out!

I love Supernatural! But it needs more classic rock!

I do a one-man-dog with WAV file backing tracks. Mostly smooth jazz, production pop rock, nylon guitar classical tidbits. All through a Pod Go wireless into the RCF J8. This thing is clear and light to move. No, it does not have the incredible mid-range of the bigger arrays with 20x3 speakers, but boy does this thing belt out some air! Really good for tiny restaurants and patio gigs.

I bought two of these and use them both in my studio and travel for gigs. I use them for keyboard amplifiers, microphone, and backing tracks. They do not disappoint. These are great speakers.

I use it with my iPad for backing tracks for vocal and saxophone solos. It works well and keeps me from having to coordinate with a sound person. I can control volume.

I was going to get a straight cable to hook my iPad/iPhone to my guitar amp so I could play along with tracks. One of the reps from B&H suggested the LTIBLOX interface as an alternative which would boost the signal. He was right. Everythings coming through, clear as a bell. Nice and tight.

I have been using this mic to record acoustic guitar. On rhythm tracks I set it up on a stand about 24-30 away from the guitar, while using a Shure KSM137 at the sound hole, recoding two tracks at the same time. The room I am recording in is quite large with high ceilings, so the acoustics of the room are quite good for this type of set up. On finger picking or more lead type tracks. I move it closer in, pointed toward the bridge. In both roles the sound capture of the mic is neutral to a bit warm. It is doing exactly what I wanted to. Can't ask for more than that. Solidly built. I don't think you will get a better mic for the price. Of course B&H service is always excellent.

I use this in the studio to re-amp my guitar tracks to beef up the guitar sound with the ability to select various amp tones that works best for the song once all the other tracks are added. Very cool!
