After attending the 2018 EAA Oshkosh Airventure air show and being frustrated with the limits of my kit lens, I decided I was going to upgrade. After a lot of on line research, I had decided on either this lens or a competitor. When B&H had it on sale for 24 hours recently, the deal was sealed! It arrived a couple of days before a local to me air show, the Thunder Over Michigan 2018 show. I was able to spend one day at the show and put the lens through it's paces. It did not disappoint! I took up a place at center field and was treated to a lot of great opportunities! I was using my Nikon D7000 with this lens and shooting hand held. In aperture priority mode with the Optical Stabilizer on 2, I found that focusing on the fast moving aircraft was easier than I thought it would be. I had no trouble finding and focusing on anything I was wanted to shoot. It was a bit heavy to carry and hand hold for the few hours I was out there. I decided I needed to rethink my load out for the next similar outing. I've already reduced it quite a bit for next time. Being newer to aircraft photography, there is a bit of a learning curve to the process. This lens was a joy to use and produced very satisfying results! 5 |

LA Guitar Quartet brought these for their show. I was amazed at how easy it was to get their sound through the PA( Allen&Heath GL2400 mixer, QSC amps, JBL speakers). The sound can best be described as the LA Guitar Quartet only louder. Whish I had some for my own studio. 5 |
