Classroom Timer With Noise Meter

I use the product daily in my high school classroom. It works great. I like the timer feature on this model. It's good for timing discussion times between students, etc. For some reason, the students think the green laser is especially cool.

Really cuts down on background noise when recording. I use them in a classroom of 25-30 kids and it takes a lot of the background noise away to create clear recordings.

I have to check the heat meter all the time on my SB-900, the noise is embarrassing, so I am always flipping out my flash at a wedding, I hate to miss a shot because it! But my trio w/ my turbo3 last me 2 wedding with no problems. I am getting one more!

I bought this to measure very quick, loud bursts of noise. This meter reads fast enough to be fairly consistent in reading the noise. It's well built and does a good job. Also, it's very easy to use.

I use this meter to calibrate audio monitors, set audio output levels, and measure the level of ambient background noise that can interfere with audio recording. This is an old school meter with good accuracy and suitable options. Sound levels can be either dB(A) weighting for ambient noise or dB(C) weighting for measuring the lows and highs of an audio signal.� Signal averaging can be fast for quick peaks or slow for more consistent sounds.� The cost is fair but not a steal.� If you already have an $800 i-phone, you can get an app with less accuracy for the cost of $15.� There are apps with less options for Android phones but the microphone in these phones is not of high enough quality to do the app justice.� �Choose wisely!

This is wonderful. Full meter display, lots of headroom, and I have not noticed any noise. So far I have just used it to feed in line signals, but will try it with microphones soon.

Timer is excellent. Does exactly what I need and more.
