...or so I read...they are standard equipment in virtually every recording studio. Super comfortable with clean, unbiased sound. I’ve had three sets of (Higher priced) headphones from other makers, I like these best by far. 5 |

I use one SS-6B for half of my live musical gear and a second for the other half. I will purchase another for my recording studio to ensure clean power. A great deal for line conditioning! 5 |

Clean sounding amp with excellent transient response and fidelity. I'm using it in my recording studio to run 4 - 12 3-way JBL studio monitors, and the sound is superb. The little automatic fan fires up occasionally when the temp rises, but the noise is minimal, and it only runs for a couple of minutes, then slows back down. Quality of build seems very good. 5 |

About as good as it gets for a microphone preamp. It's worth it to get this or the EC1 as a front end for your recording setup if you're in the market. The headphone mixing makes it perfect: That way you never really have to worry about buffer or latency settings in your interface. Plenty of power for all headphones (more than I've ever heard in any recording interface!) and quite clean too. (Almost too powerful for IEMS though! - it works but you may need to turn things way down though) If you look up reviews/specs: it measures really well: you can't do any better for a clean preamp or DI. I've never been a fan of tube pres or transformer pres: but if you want that sound: the Mojo actually gets that type of sound but better anyways if you want 'tone'. (I simply just never switch it on) The external power supply I'm not a fan of: I'd happily pay a bit more for a larger chassis and internal power supply. It's just one of those: if your cable breaks or you run it over with a chair or the pins get damaged - a replacement may not be easy to find and if you have something important to record and need to wait a week or months if this is your only preamp - that may not be what you want. I'd suggest first buying a DPA or earthworks mic or another SDC that works great on vocals and any instrument: they make the biggest difference. Then interface as most interface preamps are pretty clean - and then one of these after that. These have more headroom and just sound a bit less compressed than most other preamps (easier to hear with IEMS) but a microphone and placement is obviously more important. Though the 0 latency headphone monitoring might actually be quite important too - to make sure you get a good take? Either way - the EC1 or EC2 are great! 5 |

Ordering and Shipping - B&H Photo shipped the product on time and it arrive undamaged and well protected in the box. Product - The Eve Energy Outlet arrived in new condition in unopened retail packaging. The package includes the outlet, faceplate, and wire nuts for installation. Installation - You will need a neutral wire in order to successfully install the Eve Energy Outlet. The device itself is thicker than a regular outlet, so a shallow electrical box won't work. A regular or deep electrical box is best. Follow the included instructions and you should not have any problems. Setup - After the Eve Energy Outlet is installed and power has been turned back on, the device can be paired in the normal way for your home automation system. I'm using Apple Home, and the pairing through the Apple Home app is as simple as taking a picture of the pairing QR code. The device is initially created as a group of two outlets in Apple Home. Turning the device on / off changes the state of both outlets. You will need to ungroup the device in Apple Home if you want to control each outlet individually. The buttons on the front can also be used to manually turn the outlets on / off. They are somewhat small and will be very difficult to press when both outlets have something plugged into them. The Eve Energy Outlet responds very quickly to requests in the Apple Home app to turn the individual outllets on / off. It has never dropped out of the Apple Home system, and it reconnects quickly after power outages. Speaking of power outages, each plug in the outlet will return to its prior on/off state after a power interruption. Overall - This is an excellent smart outlet with solid build quality, quick response times, and a straightforward / easy installation process. 5 |

For anyone passionate about composing and recording music at home, away from a commercial studio, this product is ideal. There are 4 XLR / 1/4'' inputs with preamps, and the interface also has 48V phantom power so mics can bus power from the device itself. I was used to just running directly into my computer and having this interface made a world of a difference. A musician friend actually turned me onto it. I can have bass, guitar, synth, and microphone all connected at once, with zero noticeable latency. Also, the connection and the quality of the audio I record is pristine. I would recommend this project to anyone and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. 5 |

I use this for web audio/video. I upgraded from the H4 (which I really liked.) This thing is way better. The external knobs alone are worth the upgrade. The sound is pristine. Even when boosting the audio, there is no hiss. I no longer need to use noise-removal during production. (Assuming a quiet recording environment.)It is also EXTREMELY east to use. No more drilling down through the menu to adjust your input. The mic options are great as well. Both have many uses and sound great. I still prefer the stereo mic for most projects. I also use it for creating video how-to's with Camtasia. The sound is far superior to any headset I've tried. I haven't had an opportunity to use more than 2 inputs at once yet, but looking forward to giving this a try during a multi-mic, live recording. You may not find this in a pro recording studio, but if you are an indie film maker, ENG, web video/audio, you can't go wrong. It's a studio in your hand. Kind of wondering why they put it out before the accessories (power, remote, etc.) came out, but oh well. I'll definitely be picking up the remote and power cable when they come out. 5 |
