I bought a new laptop that only had the one audio/mic output and I had an older headset that had two separate connections. One for the mic and one for the headset. This splitter saved me from buying a whole new headset by separating the mic and the speaker into two separate connections. The sound was good and the users on the other end did not have any issues with the sound quality of the mic. Unit is small and compact and easily transportable wherever I go. My kid wanted a better mic to use while gaming on his p.c. and didn't want a headset mic. He freaked out when I got him this. It improved his online interactions. With the mic volume and headphone volume plus output right on the mic I felt like we could not go wrong for the money. It came with a stand but we mounted it on a boom arm so it wouldn't be on the desktop and pick up any sympathetic vibrations. All in all, it exceeded expectations. 5 |
