Cleaning Paving Stones With Pressure Washer

My Sony a7R II had some particles on the sensor that could not be removed by puffs from a Rocket blower. I had a photo shoot scheduled a week away so I ordered the type 3 sensor cleaning kit from B&H. Like everyone else, I was concerned about cleaning the sensor myself on a camera with built-in stabilization. I watched the videos on line then went for it. I gave the sensor a few more puffs of air, put the camera in sensor cleaning mode and let it shake the camera, left it on after previously having set the go to sleep time up to the max setting, put three drops on each side of a swab and put the proper amount of pressure to slightly bend the swab. One pass to the right, relax the pressure and one pass back to the left with the same pressure and its done. The sensor was spotless and several test shots confirmed the successful cleaning. You may want to send your stabilized camera body to the manufacturer for cleaning but I didn't have the time and my gamble paid off.

First attempt at cleaning a sensor. Correct pressure and a slow is smooth, smooth is fast mindset is needed. Took three swabs to completely clean, but ~$10 (Only because I used three swabs) for a cleaning instead of $60 (Having a "Professional" do it) is a winner. Plus, company backs their product if your camera is damaged regardless ( whether swab did the damage or user error).

Someone please tell me any other film washer better than this.

very simple, they work. like the double zippers. I use small stones to fill them up. work great, easy to carry.

Contrary to the Rolling Stones song, I Can't Get No Satisfaction ,,,,,,,,,, I got lots of satisfaction from this bag. I haven't used it out in the field yet but it fit my 7DII and 70-200 IS II perfectly. I'm a happy man.

I know this is for the big mavic stones but this bag actually been coming in handy as a secondary hard shell equipment bag for my production gear! also looks super cool.

Really great sound. Everything from the Rolling Stones to Rossini, it handled it perfectly. I chose this model so I could hook up my turntable. I'm going to hook the B&W's up to it next. Really happy with this receiver. Really happy with Sony!

Experiment plan is to use two for fully adjustable directional lighting. Subject, very old and eroded gave stones. Figuring 15 amp draw by the inverter battery pack. two to Three hours full bright. More time than this old guy will spend in the field any one day. Ay decide on a pair of the 50 watts. Will see.

This housing will protect the camera from weather elements, dust, dirt, small stones, insects, etc. when the camera is mounted to a vehicle. Better to crack the housing than to destroy the camera itself. So, this is excellent protection against those kinds of hazards.
