Clear glass. Awesome spotting scope. Able to see hit and misses and make necessary corrections. 5 |

I am updating this review, having read reviews from others. This lens does have very noticeable pincushion distortion at mid and long focal lengths. However, this is instantly and fully corrected in Lightroom 5 by scrolling (in Develop mode) to Lens Corrections and clicking on Enable Profile Corrections. Impressive that immediately with December 15, 2013 release of this new lens, Lr5 recognized it and had software for corrections. That's why Lr has this feature. So BEWARE and use your SOFTWARE.Electronic corrections have provided lens designers more freedom with zoom lenses.Zoom lenses are prone to distortion. New wonder compact zoom lens designs are meant to be used with electronic corrections. This lens has internal zooming to keep length and balance point close to camera (important on the slim Nex, and internal zooming should keep dust from getting pumped into lens). Those who shoot jpg get in-camera corrections. We who shoot RAW must apply corrections in our computers. Results are excellent. The beauty of this lens is it's slick function in the field. Remember the Hubble telescope? Shortly after placement in orbit, crippling distortion from faulty assembly was apparent. Electronic corrections even solved that. There is nothing wrong with using electronic corrections. Everything we do in Lr or similar programs is electronic correction. 5 |

Having one of these significantly improved my workflow, color corrections is so much easier. 5 |

This is a very good lens. As any lens they are compromises but I think this is the one for me. -The lens itself looks and feel like a precision instrument, like a lens should be made. The rubber rings are very precise, I like it. It feels well balanced on my Canon 6D Mark II despite its weight. - Autofocus. I like to have autofocus on wide angles too. I understand Sigma did some firmware fixes about this, and for me it works great. - Optically this is very good. There may sharper out there (on published curves) but I like what I see especially for its flat field at infinity and near zero rectilinear distortion. Good colors and contrast, little a bit of flare (seen much worse). - Ironically this lens has support for aberration corrections but this is a lens that really don't need it overall (but read next comment). - The only minor flaw I found is image circle clipping at 14mm making vignette correction at extreme edges difficult between f5.6 to f11. This issue just goes away from 15mm upward, luckily! - Coma. It is there but can be controlled somewhat by focusing manually. Personally I think the amount of coma is acceptable. - Lens is compatible with EOS M5 with aberrations corrections. Tested on a 60Da you do not have corrections. So in conclusion, I give 5 star to thank Sigma for releasing such a great lens. I was a bit unsure about the new Canon 16-35mm III huge vignette at 16mm. I thought about the Tamron too but having no firmware updates and older design was a worry. I owned 14mm primes from Rokinon (f2.8 and f2.4) and was very disappointed by bad centering and lack of versatility. Finally, I'm a bit intrigued by the option to shave the lens hood and also wonder if the gel holder option will be proposed. 5 |

I was using the Wacom Intuos 5 for making Photoshop and Lightroom corrections on my pictures. I switched to the Cintiq 16 and I gain a lot of time with this unit. Corrections are much faster and more accurate, and I gain a lot of time on my work. Great little unit! 5 |

I found that tue reading in of the colors are at least twice as fast. Delivers the same consistent tonal corrections that make color editing a breeze. 5 |

No colour cast or corrections needed. Simply outstanding glass. Stellar. Five stars and then some. 5 |

This reticle allows you to call out precise shot corrections while on the range. I also have a vortex razor scope with a very similar reticle. 5 |

At first glance, I thought it was a wasted roll, but after some color corrections in Lightroom, the warm tones were there while still highlighting the natural colors that modern slide film highlights. I will definitely shoot with it again to see if I can fine tune the exposure a bit. 5 |

I used the copier with PK13 tube and a 55mm macro lens as recommended and got great results. Once I got the copier turned correctly and extended to the proper distance, I put painters tape around it to hold its position (painters tape leaves no residue). I used my monitor as a light source with the brightness turned all the way up then set my lens at f8 and white balance on the camera at automatic and the camera set on RAW. I could then make any corrections in my raw processor. I made slight exposure corrections for each slide using shutter speed. Remember to remove as much dust from the slides as possible with a brush or air. 5 |
