Clear Purple Switch Controller

The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes.

Great construction. Filters out any background hums. Cool purple power switch. Must have for multiple component set-ups.

Mount it, plug it in, and turn on the switch -- it just works. A light purple visible light is an indication that UV is being transmitted, tested it with my Transitions eye lenses. Kindly check if the bulb is connected properly as mine was shipped disconnected, presumably for safety purposes.

Glass protects front element well and is very clear. Previous version had purple glare sometimes but I have yet to see any in this version.

I've been using TF-5 for a few years now for all my film development. It's super fast, helps clear the purple tint off t-grain films, works great in two-bath fixing, and negates the need for an acid stop which removes another chemical to have to mix. I love it!

Bright Clear optics even in low light, accurate color. Mine does display purple CA in high contrast with bright light at the 10x. No regrets.

I stopped using UV filters when I found they affect the color of purple and/or blue flowers and just went with clear. It's used as a front-lens element protector which really is why people get the UV filter. As such, it does as advertised. Almost no reflections - the coating is good.

I use this background for product photography. To be specific, antique bottles, etc. It is perfect for the old purple kerosene lamps which have a purple bottom (looking great on a white background) and are clear glass on top (which becomes invisible on white). For many glass objects, this graduated background is the answer. Colored or clear glass looks great on it. It is strong and won't tear, but light enough to hold with binder clips. I wish it were about 6 longer for the larger objects, otherwise perfect!
