I mainly record Pipe Organ and other classical type music from all guitar to a full orchestra if necessary...and even an occasional thunderstorm complete with hail! With the volume set right and you put the headphones on and take them off, the sound is basically identical. They are comfortable, fold up and one serious plus to me is the 3 different types of wire feeds a coiled cord, a long straight cord and a short one when it is used in close quarters. This is an excellent set of headphones for the money, I recommend them pretty highly.

I have been using this mic to record acoustic guitar. On rhythm tracks I set it up on a stand about 24-30 away from the guitar, while using a Shure KSM137 at the sound hole, recoding two tracks at the same time. The room I am recording in is quite large with high ceilings, so the acoustics of the room are quite good for this type of set up. On finger picking or more lead type tracks. I move it closer in, pointed toward the bridge. In both roles the sound capture of the mic is neutral to a bit warm. It is doing exactly what I wanted to. Can't ask for more than that. Solidly built. I don't think you will get a better mic for the price. Of course B&H service is always excellent.

I was looking for a Hi Quality set of head phones to listen to music. I am an audiophile but I also play acoustic guitar. I wanted a set of phones that would be accurate and musical. The HD600's are both. I also own a pair of HD 280 pro and they both have the Sennheiser sound. If you are looking for a forward sounding in your face sort of thing look ells were. Both the the HD 280's and HD600's are laid back and slightly warm not overly Basie. But the HD 600's sound very natural, and have better resolution, more open and airy. I listen to a wide range of music from finger-style guitar to modern rock, and the HD600's let me enjoy the music. The type of recording and it's prepossessing are pretty evident using these head phones. The dynamics of an uncompressed acoustic recording really come threw. Just as I notice the compression and normalization used on loud rock recordings. Both are very comfortable. Some have complained of to much tension with the HD600's head band, I do not notice that, And I have a larger hat size. Over all I think the HD600's are great head phones great way to enjoy music.

I vacillated over which mic I should buy to pair up with my acoustic guitar and my Fender Acoustic Junior amp. This turned out to be ideal.
