Clip Art Image Composition Notebook

This image is certainly not the greatest composition; so why send it out? Many years ago now, when I started back to photography and specifically digital cameras; I did a fair amount of reading. One accomplished photographer (Arthur Morris, Birds as Art) had a quote that stuck with me. Paraphrased, “Get the Eye Sharp and everything else will be forgiven.” This year, Canon began to ship their latest high end camera; The EOS 1DX Mk III. The brag sheet claims that interested me was a better focusing system and new sensor. I have owned every top of the EOS line cameras for the past 15 years. I have taken and viewed hundreds of thousands of images taken all over the world. Cutting to the chase and sparing you the long story; this camera is absolutely amazing. This image was taken from a rocking boat with lots of lens that doesn’t usually deliver the sharpest image. Zoom in on the eye if you are interested and see what this camera can do. Below are some of the details of my settings: 600mm lens with a 1.4 Tele Converter (840mm) ISO 800 F8 1/1250th shutter speed Not all of you are Canon shooters and I apologize for the intrusion. I am sure the new D6 from Nikon will be good too.  However, this new Canon is the best I have ever experienced!

I love having this to fine-tune my focus on my image. saving to get a second one to use to ajust the composition. If youe doing close up photography you should get one of these.

This lens is amazing, delivery quality image as any prime lens, plus the feature that let you work in composition. This lens (200-400 f4) do the job of 200mm,300mm and 400mm primes 2.8mm. The only difference is the aperture (a little more than 1.2mm less of those three). Using late canon model cameras as 1D X or 5D Mark III, that is not problem. I feel this lens is a new generation of photographer's gear.

A must have for critical focusing and composition with digital cameras. It looks like I'll be able to use it without the bottom part attached for image magnification. Just won't be able to see the entire back LCD in one view. It's a lot smaller without the base. I wish they would make it collapsable like they used to.

Takes a great image and turns it into art.

It's not for every image, but if a art paper is you taste, this is great material.

This little printer is a really good addition to your home office or just to your home computer. It works well (text, clip art, photos, and QR codes, etc.) and has a lot of choices for label tape. Definitely recommend.
