Clone Computer To Usb Flash Drive

Have been using a USB 2. 64 gb flash drive that I had no problems with but very slow. Just got new computer with USB 3, so checked around, but B&H had best price by far (think almost $ cheaper than @). The drive is great. I highly recommend it.Having done business with B&H for over 35 years (since around 1979). I know they treat customers well.

I was able to combine several smaller usb's onto this 128GB, very convenient. My computer only has 2.0 flash and this drive works well.

This USB hub makes using a flash drive much easier on my All In One computer. Not having to turn my monitor sideways to see the USB ports and having 7 USB slots makes things a lot faster and easier. Not to mention no stress on my built-in USB ports. The On/Off switches are great as I can turn off a USB slot before removing or installing a flash drive.

There are three things you can do to your computer to speed it up. First, try to max out the memory (at least 16 megs). Second, get the fastest hard drive (not ssd*). Third, upgrade the CPU. I listed these in cost, and while its a toss up between memory and hard drive - try memory first. My original computer (an Intel I7 - 16 megs) came with a 1.5 TB hard drive. It was a SATA 1.  It was getting long in the tooth, and was creating drive problems.  I decided to clone it to a 2 TB  SATA drive. The cloning problem choked on the bad sectors.  After doing some research, I successfully cloned the drive.  The clone drive was dragging.  Spying a sale at B&H  I purchase two of the 2TB SATA 3 drives and clone one of them. I then defragged the drive and tested the speed. It was reading and writing better than 5 times the speed of my old SATA 1 drive. No your probably thinking, what about those bad reviews, drive not working and failing.  Well experience has told me, if it works - its great. Problem deal with it. I put the second SATA 3 to work as my back up drive. I created an image of the first drive and use it for the daily backups. And that image has been backed up to a system server. - I can sleep nights, can you? So, in conclusion - I would recommend this drive and make sure you have a copy of Seagates Disk Wizard (its free.) Back up your important data, etc. to two separate locations.

I have now put three of the SN850X drives in my computer 2 of them a re 4TB and the other is a 2TB. All of them are running perfectly with zero issues. I love that WD provides the best drive clone software you can get with your drives for free. This is not a program they made but one that is made separately and they purchase for you to use to have the easiest time when you do finally need to replace an SSD at its end of life. I had a 970 Samsung that had started to fail and I was able to clone it before it died all together. I got one for my nephew and tried it in his system a MSI Bravo 15 laptop and it would not play well with that system. I found out MSI in those laptops do not like that high of speed of a drive. I found this funny because MSI says it is a gaming Computer.

Purchased in May 2017 to clone a failing IDE drive in a legacy computer w windows XP. Setup was simple. Made the clone w/o incident using free software from easeus. Replaced the failing drive with the clone. Works perfectly. Even a novice can do this.

Came fast. Fit perfectly. Using software from Crucial was able to clone the drive. Now an old tired computer and hard drive into a fresh fast computer

This SSD was purchased to be a backup clone of an identical drive already in my computer. Utilizing Samsung's proprietary software, the process was completed flawlessly and I can sleep better knowing I have a backup of everything on drive C in my computer.

Bought to attach new drive to computer to be able to clone old drive before installing replacement. Before buying this cable, if you are going to use your old drive as an external storage device, considering buying a drive enclosure which provides the same functionality. I ended up buying both.

We have not actually used this particular drive that prompted this review yet but bought to have on hand to clone an OS of an important computer. So that should something happen to it, we have a cold spare of the imaged OS ready, on hand to swap to.
