The most difficult part of first using the filter is opening the case. The case is amazing, but not intuitive. Follow the online instructions and you'll be as amazed as I was at how they devised a way to install the filter on your camera lens without touching it--and returning it to storage without touching it. Very clever. But the proof is in the photography. I've only used the filter once--a pastel-colored dawn ocean scene--but I put it through its paces. The ND ratings seem right on point and the color rendition of final photos is truly neutral. It is so easy to use, it's a no-brainer. Yes, it's expensive, until you think about it.

THIS LENS IS WONDERFUL. THE WIDE OPENING COUPLED WITH THE WONDERFUL GLASS MAKE FOR SHARP CLOSE UP PHOTOGRAPHS WITH GREAT BLURRING. EXTREMELY GOOD SHARPNESS. JUST A GREAT LENS.

I used this on a film shoot for the first time with my Sony-Zeiss 55mm lens to get a close-up of someone opening a latch of a box. It turned out that I only needed the slim tube extension to fill the frame with the latch & thumb action. Perfect :)

It feels very very sturdy when opening but a little scary to close, it can easily launch out of your hands if you don't have a good grip on the stick when you press the release button but otherwise it works as intended

Upon opening the product, the first thing I noticed was that the carrying case did not contain a draw string to close the top of the carry case. There is a sewn top for one so if I needed one badly I guess I could add one in. This is product will go straight into the grip bag that I use for the lighting equipment so it is not a deal breaker for me. After watching the video again I noticed that his did not have a draw string either. So what am I complaining about anyway? You got me. Seriously, that was all I could find wrong. And for a product at this price point, goes without saying. Greta buy. It does exactly what I need it to do.
